I liked Alyx but I genuinely think boneworks will outlive it. I don't think boneworks is particularly great, but in terms of gameplay it feels twice as immersive and has much better combat/gunplay. I understand that Alyx is supposed to be the launch title equivalent for people playing VR for the first time, and that is dumbed down for that reason, but even for someone like me who has only owned VR for a year any replayability is killed for me because of the fact the training wheels remove any complexity.
