I love shotguns in first person games. I know they behave unrealistically (giant spread and damage falloff), but it looks so cool. Games like Prey 2017, or Bioshock 1-2.

America is just too saturated with guns at this point, making it harder or completely illegal to own these types of weapons just means that the only people who will have access to them are the people who will use them for crime. I mean, if someone really wanted to go on a killing spree, does it matter if they get a gun from walmart or an illegal dealer? If they're committed they're getting a gun regardless.

Repubs are right that mental health in the US and our shitty gun culture are the real problems. its called an "assault weapons" ban, but it's actually a lot more far reaching than other ones if it gets passed. it'll include pump action shotguns, semi-auto rifles, and a bunch of handguns. the only real way around it is to get federal licensing since in order for you to keep those kinds of guns you'll need to pay a tax for each gun to get on a registry, but at that cost it'd just be more efficient to just get federally licensed. you'd even be able to legally own full-auto weapons as well, kind of, at least.

Not just shooting but violence in general, since it's socially unacceptable to commit it IRL video games let us enjoy it safely and in a way thats not traumatic. Anti-violent videogame fags are just trying to ruin everyones fun
