It was okay when GR1 was on the Vita but it didn't utilize the PS4 enough to make GR2 feel like not a Vita game. Probably should've remained multiplat so it could actually get sales.

Kind of a boring subject change don't you think? The horror imagery kicking it up to 10 and going wild with premises at the end really elevated the game. Kat's last battle, the switch to first person and Auldnoir all coming together at the last moment was a really amazing moment. Few games this generation came close to that.

No. It was a pretty mediocre game which shot itself in the foot by not utilizing the power of the console it opted itself for. I won't say it lost the audience it had by doing this but it was far less of a success than it should have been due to it. GR3 ever being released is a pipe dream now that it's been regulated as "mediocre trash" by the majority.

I disagree, plus the final moments of the game how it hides a few hours of extra content after a dramatic and bombastic penultimate boss was just a great touch. I always felt the OVA set up the style of pacing the game would have, and each chapter genuinely feels like an anime episode - giving the whole thing the feel of a season. It's great stuff and the game deserves all the praise it can get for that.

It's not something you have to agree to. It's the commonly-accepted view on the game -- outside of these threads, it isn't viewed that positively. Mainly due to having to compare against the rest of the PS4 library but also not being capable of unshackling itself from the roots it came from successfully. Even if the ending of the game was awe-inspiring, that's similar to saying "it gets good X hours in". I didn't hate it, but I was massively disappointed to have it be done in like this due to incompetence.

The PS4 version has the option to disable the gyro camera. I don't recall if the Vita version does, this may help you. Regardless that's the discovery of gravitation for you.
