Activision-Blizzard, EA Games, Ubisoft, you name it man, these corporations are awful and are money-driven more than anything, and yet they're successful because they pander to idiots. They blow tons of money on marketing budgets to sell the game to casuals and then get mad if the game flops, and they all do all sorts of safe pre-established things that they believe would sell the most, which is why you're getting the 12th Assassin's Creed game even when the official story ended at Assassin's Creed 3

Compared to the utter fucking drought of 2007-2013, the current state of vidya is an absolute fucking godsend and the only thing it needs is a strong AA industry to make a comeback which quite frankly seems impossible unfortunately, but at least there's still some high quality AA still coming out like Nioh 2.
