At what age did you grow out of competitive online games?
At what age did you grow out of competitive online games?
>t. single player nerd who can't handle anything besides braindead AI
I'll be over here having fun with my friends while you sit and play boring shit I guess
>Someone reposted my OC
based and epicpilled dude, keep up the good fight
Not OP but I'm that guy. Tired of competitive games, 1p games or coop is all this tired heart can handle these days.
wtf
I haven't
>Get to a high elo/arbitrary rank
>get clout through streaming in high elo matches
>gain a niche/growing fanbase
>can work from home
call it zoomer shit, call it cringe, but don't tell me you don't want to work from home if you had to work at all, let alone getting paid to just play the same games you already planned on playing.
Also I thought this board was full of Quake 3 grandpas, Tribes Ascend, melee trannies and so on. If anything, playing anything but competitive games is low test autism.
Casual > Competetive
I lost all my motivation to play tf2 comp once i started working and losing most of my freetime also my wrist pain was getting bad
I think the last competetive game I played and will ever play was overwatch.
I didn't take it seriously and got stuck in teh shitter leagues afte
r 2 seasons of just dicking around like when the game first dropped. Then I realized no one was dicking around any more, the fun was gone and it was only p[ossible to get out of shitter leagues by playing a 1 vs 6 game by yourself.
Comp games are retar
ded. I just want to play vidya for fun.
I play only SFV ranked and now MK11 has added custom moves to ranked play I might play ranked a bit there but other than that fuck comp games.
It's a video game. I don't care for E-peen.
All of these problems can be alleviated if you just don't get mad at video games
Around 3 yeara ago. So when I was 23. I used to play a lot of cod 4, pro mod via esl.
desu grinding on in game ladder is just an extended pub experience.
Quit tf2 comp (ie playing in a clan) in 2016 when I was 23.
i still subconsciously do it out of habit, but playing competitively or even doing tranny speedrunning in single player games are just unnecessary stress for no benefit whatsoever
i would've cared more about that shit when i was still in school, but now i have enough other shit to deal with in life
played with someone with this mindset
same rank as me in league, p4 (lol)
got massive boner from stomping on silvers
twist: they have more ranked games this year than I do across seven
worst part: they main my champion after their rework, without playing the original version. this is unforgivable.
if it isn't league im the same way
fuck learning new games i really dont care anymore
exclusively compfagging is the definition of low test autism
bullied at school compensation type hobby
you can play competitive games without being a fag about it, but some people forget what games are for
is that a pussy bulge or a bussy bulge? i'm game either way, but i would like to know ahead of time
>what games are for
there are multitudes of reasons why people play 'games' in the broad sense of the term, different genres have different gameplay elements people want. But you're lying to yourself if you think games (not even vidya) weren't inherently competitive. Games with a high ceiling/indepth learning curve where progress is recorded and learned from is enjoyable.
>exclusively compfagging is the definition of low test autism
t. sat out during dodgeball
the latter
that's hemorrhoids
Imagine letting your fun be dictated by children, blacks, stoners and draconian mods waiting to take your game away for wrong think or playing a certain way
>having fun
You're not fooling anyone
>playing a certain way
Never happens, going off meta never results in a ban, the N's just justify the memes user.
Get the fuck out of here with that shit. All I play is q3 arena, counter strike, and brood war
I got the "worn out gamer blues" and the casual awakening a couple of years ago. Meaning in my case that was 27 years old at the time.
There are still a couple of games I'm good at though, but they are definitely the exception now.
games are for fun
playing to win is not the same as playing competitively
if you need to rank your play to have fun you are damaged sorry
>Map awareness heavy
>choke point heavy
>high apm heavy comp games
>one even has a shop/money mechanic
gee wiz, such esoteric gameplay decisions.
>playing to win is not the same thing as being competitive
What?
>playing ranked where people give a shit more so than normals
>not a competitive mindset
What?
I play comp siege and DBFZ because I feel like those modes are the best way to play so I dont stomp or get stomped, but at the end of the day I play who I think is cool and for fun so I guess I grew out of caring but never stopped playing comp games.
this place ruined me
>why are modern competitive games of lower quality than before?
>HAHAH YOU MUST ONLY PLAY SINGLE-PLAYER GAMES YOU LOSER LOL, ENJOY FIGHTING BOTS HAHAHA
Listen here little zoom-zoom, I'll spoon feed you: there have been competitive online games before you were born and they all contained better gameplay and out-play potiental than anything the post-2010 market has to offer.
You do realize that multiplayer games that aren't e-sports exist right?
See the thing is competitive games are all the same. You come on its dust2 or mirage or something. The maps that have stayed more or less the same for tens of years. Or League where its the exact same map over and over again. Im too autistic to play single player games because I'm scared I won't like it.
Co-op multiplayer games are usually comfy and fun.
14. I realized that if you aren't making money, playing video games competitively is the most autistic thing you can do under speedrunning
