Nintendo prints more ((("first edition"))) pokemon cards and packages them up in boxes

>Nintendo prints more ((("first edition"))) pokemon cards and packages them up in boxes
>Retarded streamers spend $20,000+ for a single box of fake first edition cards

Are you glad that nintendo is stealing some of their unearned dirty twitch money from them?
>a fool and his money are soon parted

>fake first edition cards
prove it

those retards still make more money than you will ever make from a hobby

Is there some kind of definitive proof that they weren't first run cards just found in a warehouse?

>fake first edition cards
Any way to differentiate the two? Or is this just you coping?

>Nintendo
>Involved in printing Pokemon cards
That's under the domain of TPCi which is independent from Nintendo itself.

>real first edition cards
prove it lmao

Sounds like tinfoilhat theory. It would be amusing if true, but I highly doubt a multi million dollar company would risk scrutiny for doing something like that.

>Nintendo owns the pokemon franchise
>TPCi is independent from Nintendo itself
you'd have to be some kind of absolute moron to actually think this

>he doesn't know what carbon dating is.

The burden of proof is on you. Prove that they can be differentiated from "legit" first editions.

Is that why I've been seeing a surge of people ""investing"" in pokemon cards?

Are the most current Pokemon cards made to the same quality as the 1999 run cards? Like, if I hold a baseball card from 1999, I can tell on feel that it's not the same as a card made in 2020, even if it's made by the same company. If a company that makes it's living on selling cards like Topps doesn't keep the old tooling, I doubt that fucking Nintendo would

The packs are all resealed. They're not going to make money from the packs.

>doesn't understand what carbon dating is
you just heard about carbon dating in your softmore year high school chemistry zoom class didn't you?

Not even close. Any time you claim the authenticity of anything you have to have something to back it up. You sell purebreed animals? Have to have documentation proving it. You sell first production cars? Has to have the serial numbers.

Nintendo didn't make the cards, retard.

>carbon dating trading cards

FAGGOT STREAMERS PUSHED SCALPERS INTO BUYING ALL THE TEAM ROCKET BOOSTERS. I ONLY NEED A FEW RARES BUT A BOOSTER IS LIKE 400 DOLLARS AND A BOX IS 40 FUCKIN GRAND I HATE STREAMERS SO FUCKING MUCH RREEEEEEE

They have a third share. One of the other thirds is GameFreak which literally worked to abolish the quality assurance part of the Mario Team.
Ishihara, head of TPCI, is notorious for distancing himself from Nintendo whenever possible. It's why he wants to shift Pokemon to mobileshit instead of marketing for the Switch.

why would you do carbon dating on trading cards that are like 15-20 years old?

everything rots user. even you as you read this. you will never be as incrementally young and healthy as you were when you started reading this again. i stole that from us both.

no I'm immortal.

son, i have something horrible to tell you...

On the bottom right of the tentacool card is a copyright for wizzardsnif the coast which went bankrupt around R/S/E which is when Nintendo and gf took ownership over the card game. If they were reprints i believe they would have to edit out the Wizzards copyright
Plus its not unheard of to find unopened packs. I still own a handfull leftover from my childhood that I doubt I'll ever open.

First editions were always "fake". They're just RNG like shinies.

>dating carbon
Now you degenerates want to fuck elements?

I absolutely hate you. I have such a crippling fear of what happens after I die

what?

Nothing. Your brains field collapses and grounds/dissipates into nothing and your body feeds the soil returning to where it atomically came from. Thats it. Happens to us all bud, s'the way she goes.

What??

it doesn't make sense.

Rares/holos are basically RNG, first editions are just the first batches of cards made.

carbon dating is not that accurate.

Wrong. You think the first packs were full of "first edition" cards?

Since Logan Paul is done collecting Pokemon cards, hopefully we'll see a huge drop in prices next year / when COVID ends and everyone goes back to work.

Provide some actual proof beyond tickling your and my assholes.

I’m really glad streamers and jewtubers are making this a thing again, had no idea up until today and I’ve been selling my old first edition cards for a few weeks and got a huge influx of nerd fags wanting to buy my cards. Gonna make an easy couple hundred soon lol love it.

check out this absolute pseud. No, I'm not religious but you're an enormous fedora tipper presenting to others like you've discovered the secret of death. Why don't you dissipate into noting sooner rather than later?

All the years later and I still don't know how to play the Pokemon trading card game. I just thought the cards were neat.

>secret
Its about as secret as "hey rain will fall from that raincloud".

>Nintendo prints more

>mfw i have all those cards

>bought this Dark Persian error card back in January for $225

>bought literally mint condition overgrowth and bushfire boxes for $5 each with all contents inside also being mint
>worth atleast $300 now
lel

So, how much are the E3 Pikachu and the error Haunter holo?

E3 Pikachu depends on what color the cheeks are (if they’re red then you’ve got something very rare and worth hundreds at least).

was there an explanation of why poison types changed their color code from green to purple?

I sold a scuffed mewto + dragonite promo for $25.
Good deal?
