I think it's always been Marth favored

He quit because he was singlehandedly pressured with dealing with the HBox question. For 2 straight years every tournament came down to whether or not Armada could keep HBox out of winners side grands. Nobody else could touch HBox so all of the weight fell onto Armada's shoulders and he hated playing Puff, hated being forced to play as Fox, so he said fack it and left. Maybe if HBox keeps dropping off and eventually goes away, Armada will come back

I see so many similarities with the old Gods and upcomers and how they're always going to be compared to them to boxing.

I think we may get a new god situation, where there's a small group of top players who only ever lose to each other.

Zain and Mango are the first to enter the new generation of gods. I think Leffen might join, and maybe iBDW. Beyond those, if we get a fifth new generation god, it's someone who's too far behind yet to be obvious choices.

More hitstun, nerf most recoveries by 25%, actual disadvantage for half the cast (ZSS is a fucking joke of a character). The game is actively afraid of letting you combo beyond the same tired strings that every SICK wi-fi Mario / Pikachu busts out.

Maybe for corona era Melee, we'll see what happens if/when local tournaments ever come back. I usually wouldn't put much stake into the online johns but Axe also said that playing online affects his play severely so I'm inclined to believe there's truth to it.

He's starting to get back into form. I think he'll start competing at the top level again soon. He really squandered the whole quarantine level up opportunity that lots of rising players used to prep for HBox specifically.
