It’s a genuinely good game, I’m personally just tired of the formula but if you enjoy the others you’ll like this. Like someone else mentioned though it’s on gamepass so unless you just really like having physical copies of your games I’d just pony up 10 bucks for the subscription and get hundreds of other games to choose from as well.

nah, had Gamepass when it launched, didn't like it. I'm not big on downloading new games that are 100+ GB, and I can stretch a playthrough out for months on a single game depending on how much free time I have.

I'm a long time gears fag and even at 5 bucks I don't know if I'd go for it. The campaign is a mixed bag. I thought the first act as jd was pretty great. Game takes a massive nose dive when you take over as kait. Her snow and desert segments made me really considering quiting. It doesn't help that you have annoying ass Del with you. The final act is significantly better and it leaves me kinda interested in what's gonna happen in gears 6. Horde sucks ass, you're better off sticking with gears 2, 3 or 4. Escape was a neat idea but its dead as shit and really repetitive. Versus is ok, not bad at all really but I still prefer playing 3s versus. So yeah, 5 bucks is a pretty good deal considering all the content but like I said I dont know if I'd get it.

Started it today. I believe I’m halfway of Act II and this is in my opinion the worse Gears yet. A lot of people say 4’s campaign is worse but I dunno I had fun with it and it had some good action set piece moments. This one has had nothing of the like yet, and I dunno if I’m imagining it but I feel like on the other GoW games the controller would vibrate when you fired, this time it doesn’t do that any more and it severely hampers how the guns feel. Also the gore has been dialed down to 1.

I’ll finish it just because but I wouldn’t recommend it.
