That's the fun of it. The bigger problem of Sea of Thieves' PVP is that they have done nothing to fix the jank sailing crap you can take advantage of to avoid fighting altogether, and the time to get your ship properly supplied takes far too long when you could be on a server with just one Sloop and you have no way of knowing.

You should always pirate a game before buying it. It's the only way to know if it's worth your money.

I did this with Starforce 3. I wasn't about to risk it after Starforce 2 but I was pleasantly surprised.

How is everything taking long the fun of it? I'm trying to get to the fun parts but there's too much waiting in between.

You can check the emissary table to see if there're ships on the server.
But that only works if people are actually using the emissary mechanic like they should.

If the game was faster then no one would accrue items to loot. That's why they space out combat so firmly. There is also a great deal of fun to be had in doing the chase. You can start planning, coming up with ideas for attacking, learn how good your enemy is just by how well they sail, the tactics they use, etc. Lots of fun crap. Also the big gaps in combat means that it's a great casual game since you can tab out without getting into trouble.

And that's the problem. No one uses Emissaries specifically because the game tells you that information. I used to server hop until I found three emissary's up but that could take over an hour and I wasn't going to do that anymore.

I always liked the idea of being a pirate in games but nothing ever captures the thrill correctly

I just wish that we had a dedicated vtuber board so that Zig Forums was not inundated with stealth threads and the ongoing 2hu thread massacre on /jp/ could stop.

I can't deny any of that, because it's all true. But I don't know if I would say it's better that way.
Playing solo and trying to grind out Athena's ranks takes forever and most of it isn't actively playing.
If you're trying to relax, it's great. But if you have limited time and want to get things done, it's awful.

I don't actually remember the name but it was some new nep one with a bunch of vtubers appearing. Something like thirty different ones.
