Nah, everyone acknowledges DS2 is shite so it doesn't have to not exist. There are millions of people who unironically think DS3 is better than Dark Souls, when it's soulless trash in reality and really terrible compared to DS1. That's why DS3 should have never existed. It's just DS2 but with better graphics, and suddenly millions of mongoloids appear to praise it.
True Souls games are the best thing to happen for gaming. Just not DS2/DS3 Tanimura hackjobs.

Honestly, how good would it have been if they'd just released standalone expansions for the first game instead of making sequels. Either that or straight up DLC packs with the planned zones, enemies, bosses and equipment from the sequels, but throwing it all into that sweet sweet DaS1 engine.

Dark Souls III is far better than Dark Souls II in terms of gameplay alone. It actually feels reminiscent of the first game, not just like a cheap knock-off but like a crossover between Dark Souls and Bloodborne.

Uhh no it fucking doesn't. Stamina doesn't matter at all in DS3, equip load doesn't matter at all, poise does nothing. The gameplay is awful garbage in 3.

Dark Souls II has many praiseworthy mechanics and systems, but it's just not as good as the other Souls games and that's largely because of its colossal amount of drawbacks. You may like one particular part which carries you through the experience, I myself love a lot about that game, but comparatively it's a mess.

They went back on nearly everything Dark Souls II did because it was a disaster. It was still good but it wasn't anything like the first game. Dark Souls II plays less like the original than fucking Demon's Souls, hell, even Bloodborne in many regards.
