Like I don't know all of the story yet. And with all of the setup, I expect any day that they will pop out and prove me that I was the bad guy all along working for a big corporation mindlessly that on the first look seems good intentions, but actually royally fucks everybody over. There is tremendous build up to this through out the entire game.
I am guessing it wont go that way though, and please dont spoil.
But so far the writing is incredibly naive, childlike, left wing leaning and whats worse preaching. Using the most flawed arguments for it as well, but since nobody else get a say in it, the only argument is the winning one if there isn't any opposition.
Anyway the writting so far is extremely cringe, and Ionly way it can be good is if it was all to subert expectations and do big twists at the end for impact.

There's no denying the bias and influence of the media conglomerates and you can argue that they are biased left.

But there's a clear difference between op-eds and political conjecture, and misrepresenting or outright lying about factual events happening in real time.

I'm all for any person or news outlet arguing political and social views they support.
But it's not "news" (journalism) if they report on specific events happening with specific persons and factors involved, and then outright lie about said factors or distort the framing of the entire context.

You can have theories and argue those theories, but you can't lie about shit that's happening in real time, in plain view with cause and effect concrete objectivity.

and where they would be lying or have to lie, most news corps simply take their bribes and shut up, and choose not to report select stories and issues.

Sure, the cutscenes are cool but you get five minutes of useless and badly written dialogue each time you deliver something.

First, there is people who are part of critical race theory who literally deny that "objective truth" exists, so they in their frame of mind find it fully justified to distort things because everything is distorted, biased, racist.
Second there is people who do this purely for some kind of gain, be it political or power or whatever.

These two branches have no come there to have a healthy debate or discussion.
The fact you bring up the "ohh nooo they are lying and denying truth" shows to me that you still think they are fair and balanced people but not playing by the rules or something.
My point is....it's worse than you think it is.

Unironically if you look at america righ t now, that's exactly the kind of environment a hitler is born.
When a certain group of people subert your culture, try to drive your economy into the ground, blame people of the nation as evil endlessly and they they belong at the end ifof your boot.
Then a hero comes along and rises up the people who have been oppressed and systematically attacked, you get hitler.
The irony is that the left, fighting the "nazies" and attacking normal people endlessly, rellentlessly, are exactly the kind of catalyst needed to turn normal people into "nazies".
