Just replayed it since it released and it's still good. city park and story suck but who cares Why did normalfags hate it so much?

it filtered potato pcs and casuals

Casuals are getting filtered which is fine.

The tutorial level isn't reflective of the rest of the game and unironically the hardest part of the entire game. My friend literally could not get past the hide & seek sequence and he's the kind of guy who has beat Dark souls blindfolded SL1.

Somebody that dropped it after the first two levels here:
I dunno man, between the characters, story and lettetbox filter through the entire game, it just didn’t grab my attention in the slightest. It felt like a generic RE clone, and I also dislike RE. I could have missed something, since I was younger at it’s release (15 I think), but that’s the gist of it. Just didn’t grab my attention desu.

>story suck
You're no better than the normies in this case

The performance is abysmal on goystation so that doesn't help its reception.

The hide and seek part is a little annoying, but not that complicated.

First time I played TEW I passed it without any problems, but still had my heart rushing while doing and hoping the game wasn't going to have parts like that all the time, then my HDD crashed and I did again by retrying a few times, now I finally completed TEW without HDD crashes ruining everything.

Did anyone else find something off about the walking/sprinting? It always felt like the character was running on ice. Enjoyed the game alot aside from that

>HDD crashes
What kind of cheap Brazilian knock off shit are you buying? I have a 10 year old WD that to this day works beautifully.

The sprint felt like you were on a conveyer belt that was going in the opposite direction.

Yeah that's exactly what I'm talking about. It didn't even feel like you were going faster. Was constantly bothered by that

It has to do with the deadzone, if you flick your thumbstick the guy will take a whole step forward, if you tilt ithe thumbstick 10% the walking animation will play in slow motion and you can stop in the middle of your stride. I don't know if this makes sense but that's the reason it feels that way, if you stop flicking the thumbstick when you want to make incremental steps it feels a lot better.

>deadzone
wait you guys are playing tew with a controller?

You're not?

>controller

How do you approach traps to disarm them without analogue movement? Is there a walk toggle?

For some reason the walking eye vagina boss filtered me constantly, rest wasn't even that hard, tho I changed to easy towards the end when it just kept recycling the somewhat iconic safe heads, the rpg killing blow was a cherry on top even if it's a nod to Re games and just left a bad taste. I did find myself enjoying Evil Within 2 way more and wouldn't mind a third game but I certainly don't need it.

TEW 1 & 2 were better games than TLOU 1 & 2
Only difference was TLOU 1 & 2 had Sniggers eat up anything Snoy make.

>Is there a walk toggle?
Yes, which TEW2 made away with, I don't understand why.

or crouch. walking isn't binded to anything by default but you can change it in settings

tew1 is better but 2 is not. it got rid of almost everything that made the original unique

idk how i feel on TEW 1 & 2. i love them both and have very fond nostalgia of TEW1 but TEW 2 has such better gameplay. Not to mention it has better bosses and exploration overall.

>RE4 meets Inception with zero charm or likable characters
Yeah real pleb filter alright...

Is TEW 60fps on PS5?

>be user
>be filtered because "muh rooms don't make sense I can't understand :("

Is this bait?

I disagree that it has better gameplay. Removal of matches hurts it a lot. Enemy variety is halved. It's got better stealth gameplay sure but that's about it and you don't use stealth much after chapter 3 in tew1 anyway.

Your friend has Down syndrome

I remember people thinking the entire game was a dream or something like that. People can't into subtext.

Matches didn't really do much for TEW1. It was just an easier way of killing enemies. I can't recall TEW 1 having much variety in enemies either. I just remember the haunted throughout the game but that maybe because i haven't played it in a while.

I don't much care for Evil Within, but that style of horror game is to my liking. Action horror as opposed to survival horror. I like being able to kill the monsters.

matches definitely added a lot. it gave a new layer to locational damage and made shotguns much more useful, because even if you couldn't kill an enemy in one shot they'd get knocked back and you'd be able to burn multiple with one. the shotgun is much less useful in 2 because of the removal of matches and feels weaker to use

Maybe it was useful in that sense but then you defeat the shotgun being weaker point as you literally need a shotgun to knock down enemies instead of straight up killing them with it. I'll probably replay them again at some point and I'll probably agree with you later down the line because I did play 2 more than 1 recently.

>he's the kind of guy who has beat Dark souls blindfolded SL1
this only proves the point that Dark Souls is a game for autists, and that people that run it again and again have serious issues

How do you get filtered by the first five minutes of a mikami game?
