4k is a meme and will continue to be until you can get high, consistent frame rates on it for a PC under $1,000 and can get a 4k high refresh monitor for a reasonable price, so at the very least for the next 5 years or so.

Looking at the 4K 144Hz monitors they don't even support hdmi 2.1 like the new Nvidia cards do.

27',1440p, 144hz+ is currently the best performance option.

Games doing 80-90 fps in 4K is fine, but always having 144Hz when just browsing the internet moving your mouse around is essential unless it's a TV.
