Nomura had a story planned since the very fucking beginning.

it really doesn’t. it’s a shonen anime but with less structure. 90% percent of the characters are interchangable. it’s deep in the sense that you need a flowchart to even follow what’s going on, but there is no deeper meaning or message beyond what it tells you from the very beginning. it’s for children.

>>elements like time traveling introduce like since DDD have been foreshadowed since KH2

Not at all. What the fuck are you talking about.

“Difficult to make any sense of because it’s so badly written” is not deep and is only complex in the most uninteresting way.

I don't give a shit about any of that I just want anti-Aqua to rape me with her huge darkness futa cock.

We'll, Sora actually time travels in KH2, so there's that.

Merlin's time travel has nothing to do with the autistic shit that DDD or 3 used.

Not true. Kingdom Hearts I is a loose retelling of the Divine Comedy told in the wrong order as not to raise the suspicion of Disney executives.

It wouldn't be very family friendly to create a Disney version of Devil May Cry, but that's exactly what Nomura tricked them into doing.

Why do you think Riku shows up in Sora's darkest hours, has silver hair and uses the blue motif. Whereas Sora traverses the realms, wears red and is the main character.

Sora must journey to rescue his love taken by the Lord of Darkness.

Sora = Dante
Riku = Virgil
Kairi = Beatrice

Dante journeyed with several knights during the crusades which can be read via the Dante Society; the first time we see Sora's soon to be companion, he is dressed as a knight.

Donald is a mage, mages often cast Holy in RPGs, for all intents and purposes as Donald heals you, he is a priest.

>Stained glass is a HUGE theme in Kingdom Hearts
>Kingdom Hearts Door looks like a giant church cathedral door
>Japan is often obsessed with Christian iconography
It really isn't too far fetched to believe Kingdom Hearts is the Divine Comedy for kids, the series has a disjointed storytelling afterwards so I'm merely suggesting the first game in the series is loosely based or inspired by Dante's Inferno.

Shadow Heartless would be unbaptised babies in this sense. 'Hearts' functionally as Souls. Something to think about.

> great and complex narrative.
some good ideas maybe, but the execution for the most part is terrible
Such bad pacing, and bad writing, and just boring, stupid/confusing/dumb a lot of the time
The BBS trio is the worst written friendship or any story, they are just friends because the script says they are
Conclusions are unsatisfying
Characters are given lots of screen time but have no arc
DDD is the most boring painful thing i ever played

I could ramble for ages, its pretty terrible

Kek at thinking that in any way foreshadows "time travel like in DDD"

It's complex in the same way a tangled ball of christmas lights is complex.

Allusions to other works doesn't give your story meaning or depth

In order to time travel to the future, you need memories of future people who know you. When Maleficent returned at Yen Sid's tower. Merryweather was about to speak and Flora covered her mouth, telling her to speak or remember. But it was too late.Three Good Fairies scrambled to not remember the evil fairy.

Why? The memory of maleficent was the point that she'd have to lock in on. as you have a presence regardless of alive or dead, so long as you have even a piece of you existing and present in some point of time, you can time travel straight to it, and as Maleficent demonstrated in KH2, it's possible to even return from your "death".

Some of those quotes fit KH2

Why would the faeries know about time travel? How did they come to the conclusion that Maleficent was using it despite her doing so from a digital world copy contained in the foreteller books?

Based.

How to write Kingdom Hearts 101
>Say vague and ominous sounding statements
>In a later game give meaning to those vague statements and pretend that was your master plan all along
>Collect your paycheck on the way to the bar

There's no reason for them not to know. Same reason the fairy godmother spits a bunch of knowledge at the end of MoM. Planting the seed for later.

>>In a later game give meaning to those vague statements
you forgot that the meaning has to be unsatisfying and uninteresting

>I have some unfinished business with this puppet
>Kairi... Kairi's inside me?
>I smell you Ansem. Show yourself
>The Ansem in my heart smells darker. The odor is more foul
>You and Kairi smell the same
>SAY FELLAS
>That was undeniable proof we TOTALLY OWNED you lamers
>They'll pay for this!
>SORRY MOMMY YOUR POOPSIES ARE TOAST
>It's Riku! They put bugs in him!
>...What?
>But who's to say it's even SAFE inside Riku?!
>Chip and Dale are currently analyzing the data that Ansem the Wise provided to Riku
>Xion...who else will I have ice cream with?
>Because I'm you.
>No, I'm me.
>I'm me, he says...

You mean they were retconned to know after the fact.

Foreshadowing isn't retcons.

also the one were terra is talking to the chip munks about his darkness

How does that scene in 2 imply time travel in the slightest without using what you already know from UX?

There's no reason for them not to remember her.

>t. retard

There's nothing bad about it.

>LISTEN TO THOSE CHEERS
>Camera pans to empty stadium and confetti

What reason is there to believe that's not just a power she has? Or fairies altogether?

What power?

The power to revive yourself through rememberance.

That would be a incredibly stupid asspull though.

More so than time travel with autistic rules when Merlin can just pull doors out of his ass at any moment?
