I don't hate it. Where did you get that idea from

Literally the only game where I constantly want to get done with the combat so I can go back to dialog choices.
Hell not even mass effect had that effect on me.
If the game had decent combat and the rpg mechanics were more balanced this shit would unironically be 10/10 and a classic

Why didn't they let me fuck her

Obsidian hates straight romance.

This game filtered me. I couldn't get past the first part or something. I don't know but I only have maybe 2 hours in game. I'm not eve shit at shooters so fuck knows what happened.

>Zig Forums is one person
Nice meme. I hope Microsoft pushes Obsidian to make a spiritual successor to it.

The game is barely a shooter, it's an amazingly involved RPG
I'd say try again and go for a silenced pistol playthrough, it's as close as you can get to just winning instantly

The rpg mechanics are balanced and the combat is decent brainlet. Retards like you went in thinking it was a mass effect "rpg" and got filtered when you couldn't figure out why your handgun can't hit anything.

Because she's 16

Big agree. Alpha Protocol is so close to being a really good game but it falls just short for the reasons you mentioned. I'm usually not too bothered by single-player games being imbalanced but hand-to-hand combat and stealth is absolutely ridiculous compared to any other approach, mainly because the AI is fucking awful and exploitable. A more aggressive/direct approach using firearms is absolutely viable, it's just that h2h combat is that much easier and you can go real fast using stealth as well due to the skill that gives you full invisbility for a set duration regardless of what action you take, including doing stealth takedowns. Also the ending feels rushed to me. It's still fun but it could have benefited with being a few hours longer and fleshing out the Halbech side of the story a bit more. The Halbech route had so much potential if they'd let you join up with them in Rome when Marburg gives you the offer.

Her dossier says "twenties", tho

I should at some point so I can move something from my dropped folder to complete folder.

>The hacking minigame on PC
Who came up with this shit?

>stealth
Wait how much stealth is in there because there is nothing I hate more than waiting for fucking NPCs to be in the right position for you to clear a room or kill. I just want to go in guns blazing popping headshots.

It's a choice. You can either be a stealthy guy who knocks everyone out, or a stelathy guy who hides behind cover and pops head, or guns blazing guy who goes loud

>I just want to go in guns blazing popping headshots.
You can do that no problem. You don't have to stealth during any part of the game at all. You can build your character specifically for running and gunning and not giving a single solitary fuck.

You can easily do that if you spec into weapons instead of stealth.

>those actual consequences
Hnnnggg

Wrong. Also, that wouldn't matter.

>that fucking order of the hubs changing major parts of the game

>Chain Shot
why even HAVE other weapons in the game when you've made one objectively superior

It's fine. Lockpicking is much worse. You have to pick up and reset your mouse five times for some of the tumblers.

What the fuck was his problem?

>Alpha Protocol is so close to being a really good game
best I've seen it put. It's so, so close to being really good, but the gameplay never gets above serviceable, and non-pistol guns are too shit, for it to ascend
>not doing a kung fu-only playthrough

Lockpicking was easy, the problem is the god awful controls for the hacking minigame.

I hear the Adirondacks are beautiful this time of year.

Pistols is basically the equivalent of being a mage in fantasy RPGs

Lockpicking is just annoying. I thought hacking was easy if you drop onto the mouse one with a diagonal movement. Also when I played Hentai High School that hacking mini game was exactly the same.

Had one of the best milfs in gaming tho

>dahling...
Woof.

>Marburg has read your file and knows you're supposed to be a master manipulator of people
>so deliberately trying to piss him off to goad him into fighting you does nothing
>unless you've picked nothing but jackass choices all game and he knows you're just genuinely that much of an asshole

The problem with hacking is simply that the cursor has a maximum speed and so if you move your mouse normally, the movement doesn't get picked up. It works fine if you move slowly. IIRC you can also use WASD for one side and arrow keys for the other, no?
I also think it was worse before the last patch but I can't quite remember

Still legal.

It's not a very good game.
