Breath of the Wild sequel

What are your hopes and expectations?

>Hopes
If they keep durability, at least make it so weapons don't break as fast as they did in the first game. I get why it's there, I get they wanted us to constantly use everything we find and finding more weapons isn't a big deal but things still broke a little too often.

>Expectations
To not get what I just hoped for.

Black holes and revelations

I hope they dont forget to include a game this time

Link wins

>hopes
puzzle box dungeons
lots of them
>expectations
no puzzle box dungeons at all

>hopes
more enemies, better combat, actual dungeons, maybe even a few new items
>expectations
sfm porn

More dungeons. Botw was beautiful but it lacked more creativity imo.

My biggest hope if for the Switch Pro or whatever it's called to release before the game comes out.

>hopes

More dungeons and puzzles, less recycled Guardian fights. And less aggravating way to soft gate content, equipment durability did that but made you tear your hair out. And fat twili asses.

>expectations

no twili asses

>Hopes
the game has more story than the first botw and the map changes
>expectation
they'll just reuse the same map

underrated

this, except you add the sfm porn to hopes category

New weapon type: Whip, fast and long range but weak, can be used with shield. Highest tier is the ball and chain which is slow and high damage
New weapon type: Crossbow. High damage with slow rate of fire, less arcing and shot drop on projectiles, easier to aim. Highest tier would be the automatic crossbow from crossbow training with an automatic rate of fire.
New weapon type: slingshot. Weak and short range. Basic shots don’t consume ammunition but do very little damage, used mostly for puzzles. Can use specific seeds like the oracles games as unique ammo. Highest tier is a scatter shot like SS.
New armor type: diving suit. Jules Vernan looking suit that allows you to breath underwater, is too heavy to swim within.
New item: digging mitts, can be used for collecting resources from the ground, gives a few extra handholds while climbing during rain.
New Item: Hookshot. Can pull you to any wooden object within range, can be used while climbing and gliding. Can be used to disarm lesser enemies in combat.
New gear page: utility items. Korok leaves, torches, oars, woodsman axe no longer take inventory slots from your weapons page, durability of these items is much lower in combat.
New animal: Loftwings. Flying mounts that can be registered at unique stables.
New enemies: Darknuts, redeads, deku babas, skulltulas, like likes, aeralfos. Darknuts fill the tier between bokoblins and lynels. Redeads are nocturnal enemies that don’t fall apart in a hit like stal enemies. Babas camouflage as collectible plants. Skulltulas hunt on climbable surfaces. Like Likes can eat weapons and shields. Aeralfos fly and harry the player whilst climbing or gliding.

it’s not that I don’t want it, I just know it’s going to be a thing anyway

>Hopes
More story, enemy variety, themed dungeons, cool unique areas you can find when exploring like tucked away mini dungeon entrances in walls and stuff. Maybe water stuff too, at least fishing.
>Expectations
Epin ancient Shiekah dungeons and two new enemy types max.

More close-ups on Zelda's ass.

>hopes
more nuezou artworks

Take the "it's an actual free-roaming adventure" theme further by making it into a survival game

>hopes
that it makes no references to the non-canon age of calamity game.

>hopes
More traditional style Zelda dungeons
More traditional Zelda soundtrack.
Progressive items and upgrades.

>expectations
same as BOTW, but with more gameplay variety.

>hopes
Switch release
>expectations
Switch Pro release

>hopes
They do something with all the empty space. There could have been a city of yetis living in that giant mountain to the northwest, they wouldn't even need to have their own divine beast, just something for the player to do in that region
get rid of the durability system and replace it with a crafting/upgrading system like they have for armour
Proper level scaling
more minibosses and better dungeon bosses
proper fucking dungeons
better side quests
ability to have an effect on the world, like tarrey town

>expectations
It's going to be the same overworld but with areas either covered in twilight or otherwise corrupted, that you have to clear
Giant underground caverns to explore
more boring as fuck side quests with no soul
more boring as fuck shrines
No traditional dungeons
being able to play as zelda

A much wider variety of enemies
>inb4 it's just the elemental variants from Age of Calamity

>Age of Calamity
without too many spoilers, is it canon?

No

What if they added a method to restore weapon durability to appease the whiny bitches

Hoping that they build and refine on BotW by having a bunch of high quality dungeons, solid item progression, good enemy variety, better mechanical balance, etc.
Expecting that they introduce some new retarded gimmick that ruins everything while barely addressing the flaws.

Ooh I'd like that. It'd give a use to the copious amounts of flint I gather while searching for gems.

No, it retcons the ending to defeat Calamity Ganon early with help from.the future

well it probably is, but just on a different timeline from BoTW/BoTW2

Canon only matters insofar as it impacts future entries, and I would be shocked if BotW2's story is at all influenced by a musou spin-off.

Is BoTW 2 gonna use the same map as the first, or is it an entirely new map?
