quantity over quality
Dark souls fans hate new ideas
New thing scary
That's why so many people like DS3, because it's just the same shit again but even more sterile than ever
>>best aesthetic in series
Wildly inconsistent generic high fantasy with a dash of edgy nonsense?
>41 bosses
>Best boss isn't even better than DS3's worst boss
>New thing scary
Yeah I remember DaS1, BB and Sekiro all flopping

I really liked the MP improvements and the ability to +1 each area to quickly re do bosses and farm things
I really disliked pretty much everything else.. world building, looks, movement, areas, weapon degradation
would have loved that DS3 would stick with the good changes, but well..
I enjoyed it. I actually like it more than DS3 now. At least it has a lot of different paths to take so subsequent replays feel different. DS3 is just so linear.
The lore doesn't make any fucking sense
They should have named it something else, but not Dark Soul
Those aren't new things, they are very different things.
New thing bad is the typical mentality when something you get attached to receives something new, and that terrifies people because they already have a norm, a habit they follow, and that interferes with their habit, and thus they hate it
Which part doesn't make sens?
>32 boss, 41 with dlcs
And out of them how many are actually fun to fight, don't have broken hitboxes and are not ridiculously easy? 10?
>best aesthetic in series
More like best texture tiling in the series lmao
>best fashion in series
DaS3 exists.
>the most diverse game in the series
DaS3 exists.
>Those aren't new things, they are very different things.
Give it up.
ds2 is good, hating it is a meme.
At least it was different. Ds3 was just a rehash with boring level design.
I agree with this guy
>high fantasy
God-awful hitboxes. Try again.
I hate DS2 because the final product isn't what we were promised
Massive downgrades from that infamous E3 presentation.
Pretty shitty animations.
Some shitty/PS2-looking areas in general.
Areas are more "gauntlet" than "intricate explore-em-up".
Shitty str/dex scaling, use buff-stacking or be bored.
Lore is undermined by the "It was secretly a Dark Souls 1 reference" nonsense.
It's my favourite in the series, but there's some good reasons to not care for it.
Did the devs ever explain the Fullbright_1 thing?
Why remove all lighting from the game?
Are there mods to fix this?
Would be great to know since I'm tired or replaying 1, and thought I should move on to 2 and 3.
>you will never lock yourself in your room for a week in a drug binge playing dark souls 2 and listening to ween again
Take me back bros
You may not like it, but the gutter is kino souls level
>best aesthetic in series
Ds2 trannies are delusional
>tfw the Gutter got gutted
>turned from a comfy Gyrm miner sewage town into a hollow infested mess
>preaty stress free due to most enemies being basic hollows
>cool atmosphere due to darkness iluminated by totches
>enviremental puzzle in form of lighting them all
>shitton of hiden side areas that you will most likely skip when going for the 1st time
One of my favourite areas
>32 boss
I played 1-2-3 back to back for the first time about half a year ago and I barely remember any ds2 bosses. I oneshot most of them, including the last one.
by the end I was so bored with it that I only did one DLC before saying fuck it and installing ds3.
local schizo/sperg/tranny opinions didn't influence mine, because before I played the games myself I paid about as much attention to them as I do to all the anime around here
>I hate DS2 because the final product isn't what we were promised
So you hate video games.
You could make this argument for every Dark Souls game and Bloodborne.
By that image, the only original game is Demon's Souls.
i was psychically unable to start any DLC after the main game
DS2 is such a boring piece of shit
soul memory killed PVP
>I shoting Aldia
good joke
Everyone just fights in the Blood Arena and that ignores Soul Memory
>ask for the webm
i though it was a glitch or a joke, that fast retarded walking animation really fucking spooked me first time in game
>Why remove all the lighting?
Because the game's dev cycle was fucked and the publisher forced them to develop for last-gen consoles. They had to rip out their lighting engine to make it run on last-gen.
>Are there mods to fix this?
There's a single notable mod in development. It's called Flames of Old, and it's not out (it's pretty ambitious so it'll be a while) but just looking at clips of the guy testing it it's pretty amazing how nothing but a lighting upgrade makes the game look relatively modern, even without upgrades to the texture work.
