I love how he tries to fake you out at 7 seconds
lol no
even RDR 2 blows it out of the water
what a joke
yes, it's actually extremely good
Yes, and not just from a technical perspective
Probably, yeah. The combat is great. Only the story stuff gets old when you replay it.
Its between that and MGSV. Its crazy people think TLOU2 is worse than TLOU when it comes to gameplay/level design. It absolutely blows the first game out of the water
You will never be a woman.
Dressing a bog standard
>dodge button
>punch button
>grab button
system up with fancy animations doesn't make it magically complex
I hope so. I wanted to play it just for the combat alone. I don't care what other people think of it.
Lolno. RDR2 is repetitive, and dull. Even for someone who enjoys immersion and roleplaying, the game is a shooting gallery and predictable.
It's average.
>RDR2 is repetitive, and dull.
And TLOU2 totally isn't
>Even for someone who enjoys immersion and roleplaying
Have sex, incel
it doesn't need any gimmicky shit when it so perfectly nails the fundamentals
Lol no
Rdr2 is a piece of shit. Both of these games are movie games but i will give credit to naughty dog for being able to marry detailed animations and responsive controls. R* can only do detailed animations.
Also look at the direction these two devs have been going the past decade. Rockstar games have only gotten more restrictive and given less player agency as the years go by whereas naughty dog games have gone the opposite direction, they are more expansive and give the player more freedom.
TLOU2 is only the best agenda pushing tranny game to date.
the story is leftist horseshit but the combat and death animations are the most satisfying yet in a video game
>And TLOU2 totally isn't
Not from what I've seen. Comparing kill gameplay from RDR2 to TLOU, TLOU wins by a wide margin. It is much more satisfying, and appealing to me.
>Have sex, incel
Struck a nerve there, did I, Mr. Houser?
yeah maybe if it was an enjoyable game to play.
>It's average.
not at all, webm. related is a good example of a gameplay-wise average game
I just finished this. On first impressions, I liked it because I didn't like too much of RE2's puzzles eating up time, but it somehow felt like it was missing something.
>but it somehow felt like it was missing something
yeah half of the og game's content and gameplay mechanics from the year 2020
Nah, Gears is a real Gamer's TPS.
>but it somehow felt like it was missing something
Yeah, I watched a speedrun of the original game and it PALED in comparison. I'm talking, why did they even decide to call it RE3? Just call it...a spinoff.
I mean, the random events, the puzzles, the story, the characters...all different. What?
oldfag
Yes
As a barbeones stealth game it's great it gets all the basics right
Mgsv is better tho
The gameplay itself is great but it's dragged down by pacing and announcing when you won an enemy encounter. It's really a shame. Imagine playing Dead Space 2 but you suddenly have an unskippable flashback walking scene here and there and every time after you kill a necromorph Isaac says "yeah I got them".
Tranny Pee Snappity?
Imagine being this salty that a developer put out a mechanically solid title
>there are still people who like Tlou2
This. Mechanically is superb, right alongside with the big ones, MGSV and MP3. But it gets dragged down by being a TLoU game, it weird how the team completely remade combat and stealth but left everything else exactly the same.
Good game though.
>It's another 'shills circlejerk over their trash movie game'.
Why don't you try laying down and activating octocamo? I know most of you play on games journalist mode.
>right alongside with the big ones, MGSV and MP3.
This looks nice and all but does anyone else hate the amount of snapping the camera or animations do in ND games, always throws me out of them.
I agree with this. There's one moment when you raid the bank for the shotgun and clickers spawn behind you so you have to clear a place you felt was safe, but then it never happens again.
I also don't love playing stealth entirely through a sound effect.
Wow, an entire thread of people who think animations are gameplay.
>I also don't love playing stealth entirely through a sound effect.
What do you mean? If you mean the sound that warns you about enemy spotting you play it on grounded or at least set the AI to grounded in custom difficulty.
Yes. Animations are gameplay. This gif is animations. God you people are sometimes so retarded.
>right alongside with the big ones, MGSV and MP3

just look at the characters' movesets, they are so clunky and stiff compared to last of us
Thanks. If I ever replay it I'll do that but I'm too bummed out by the lack of factions news.
I think the implication is that choices are gameplay, but in my opinion TLOU2 is pretty successful at presenting interesting choices under pressure as well as excellent presentation.
imagine what they can achieve with PS5's hardware.
