I can't really get upset about that since that system really only worked for the DS (and 3DS. Probably coulda worked on Wii U but that's deader than two doornails so)
I mean one of the biggest problems people have with the mobile and switch versions is that they needed to either rework the combat or have weird, clunky systems to sorta retrofit it onto different control schemes

that and I like the idea of different players in the reaper's game all playing differently, like how your partners in the original all had their own gimmicks compared to your touchscreen pin combat.
