It uses the same controls as the mobile version, which, while servicable, pale in comparison to the DS version's, which both made sense in and actually reinforce the game's core message, on too of just plain working better.

Controls is the reason people argue over which version is best. Switch version is perfectly fine. In handheld with the touch screen. I cannot recommend playing it docked though.
