Maybe he'll get skin cancer, but microwaves actually have a very hard time penetrating skin as skin is already some what resistance to light radiation, however the microwave would slowly burn away your skin and once it finishes that you've got no more protection from the direct radiation and being heated u like a hotdog.
Luckily for snake he had thick skin and potentially somewhat protective clothing so he managed to get through it before it melted him

He did a actually use dead eye, you can get quite a few cops with it but it has a limited amount of things it can target and there was just too many cops to a significant dent
