No accelerometer

>No accelerometer
>No haptic triggers
>No speaker
Why doesn't Microsoft give a shit about progress? I really hope they release an upgrade to this controller a couple years into the Series life cycle

>haptic triggers
Call it finger rumble like it is and stop thinking that pretending to have arthritis in your finger is cutting edge

You have not used the DualSense

Correct

>no gimmicks
just what I want

>I know EXACTLY what it feels like!
>Despite the fact I've never used it!

Why hasn't anyone made a controller as good as the xbox 360's?

>still more comfortable
>still has the best dpad of this generation

Never said I know what it feels like. Just that I know what it is. You seriously think your finger jiggle is what's making the industry better. You could've called out the fact that the xbox controller has no gyro and that would've been a better argument yet you chose to go with that. It happened with the six-axis and now we're just doing it again.

...

The d-pad on that controller is terrible for fighting games.

yep

>playing fighting games
wtf? lol

Ordered one yesterday for PC. Pretty excited desu.

I got mine today
It's very nice
Dpad is really good and everything else is also really good too

>accelerator
uhh what is this for
>haptic triggers
I don't even turn on vibration on my controllers because it's a stupid gimmick that adds nothing
>speaker
the only game I remember using this was GTAV for police comms and it sounded like shit

In what way is the 360 pad superior to the Series X?

Microsoft cares about gameplay
Sony cares about the experience
Guess which one costs so much that it's a "risky" venture to make new IPs
Have fun with all your shitty remasters lol

I definitely wish it had a gyro/accelerometer for driving games.

good post

Controller design changes little to nothing, If there was some kind of a controller as immersive as a force feedback steering wheel or joystick it would make a difference. But a controller is just a controller and it comes down to what you prefer.

Xbox series X Elite III controller with haptic triggers when??

I was being serious though

If they don't make a translucent green version, at least able to be made through the custom store, I'm going to be pissed.

I don't like the fat triggers.

They're being conservative, and that's a good thing. If it ain't broke, don't fix it

DS4 had gyro, how many games used it? how many games had gameplay features designed around it?

I'm genuinely curious

Gimmicks does not equal progress

The Xbox layout in general is terrible for 2D games.

>accelerometer
Fuck motion controls
>haptic triggers
Haven't tried it, but sounds stupid
>speaker
Literally sounds stupid

I fucking hate gyro. Ruined Detroit: Become Human for me.

I've only used gyro for Mario Kart desu senpai.

Might get one for christmas

Not much b/c multiplats have to cater to the lowest common denominator, the Xbox controller.

>speaker
>say the n word while gaming
>gets banned even tho the mic is disabled

lmao, faggots

>Introduce pressure sensitive buttons on ps2
>Almost no one uses it
>feature gets dropped.
>can never play mad maestro again

FUCK YOU SONY

Cause none of that shit is needed to control a game.

oh no i can't shake my controller to charge my in-game flashlight whatever will I do.

Does it matter that Sony developers are lagging behind PC and Nintendo? Most of the top selling games for the PS4 would have benefited from it. MS putting out a controller that is up to modern standards would help to improve the current situation since it insures all platforms will be equal. It would also help out PC since xbox controllers are currently seen as the standard. Adding mouse like input as a basic feature would improve compatibility compared to Steam having to actually send the game mouse input to the game.
