when i was younger i could only text with girls coz face-to-face i was shitting myself and couldn't find a word to talk to
now i prefer to talk with them face-to-face. when you text you can't apply facial expressions, different tone and trying to charm them as much as it's face to face.

yet still, the last girl i really liked and she liked me, whom i asked out like 5 times and she just said she doesn't have time, turned out to change over 3 days and suddenly telling me she's dating someone else.

don't think that finding courage to ask someone out would get you places. that's not even the beginning.

The real advice is that you should never aim to ask a girl out, you should aim to have her ask you out. Focus on finding out what she wants, then make sure you are capable and willing (especially) of being that and then, if it doesn't change who you are at the core, work towards that.
