I'm getting tempted to reinstall it again bros....
Fallout 4
Just reinstall New Vegas instead?
3 is the superior choice.
I don't care.
Come at me.
Thank you for your suggestions but neither Fallout 3 nor Fallout 3: New Vegas can capture the gamefeel of Fallout 4. Especially with gameplay mods to make the combat even more visceral and immersive, Fallout 4 is the best exploration shooter I've ever played.
Fallout 2 is the best just install that.
i hate how every type of gun has a separate skill perk.
it's dog shit and one of the biggest regrets of my life was buying it
Yeah that's diggity dogshit, I think there's a mod to fix that now, at last.
Another settlement needs your help! I'll mark it on your map.
me too, i just want to play with the dlc`s this time
Fallout 4 has best grafix and weapons/armor/gunplay and settlement building is awesome. But quests and story and people are kind of trash. It's that time of year tho, I gotta reinstall it soon too and try to finish story for first time if I can get through it
Have you played Fusion City Rising etc? That's like 20 or 30 hours of new content that's actually pretty decent.
I get why Fallout 4 isn't ideal, but honestly, the only reason why I found it disappointing is because there was so much work that had gone into making cool locations, and such a beautiful world to traverse, and they didn't put the same effort into player choice, dialogue, a decent story etc. I know all the things I dislike about Fallout 4, but at the same time, I have had multiple playthroughs with hundreds of hours of playtime, it can't be that bad.
Just finished replaying the whole base game and all DLCs. Far Harbor and Nuka World are still fun as fuck, despite the abhorrent bugs that still remain to this day. Fucking Bethesda.
Any good mods I should try fellas?
Ok Zig Forums i'm obviously gonna replay all Fallouts once i'm done building my PC
Which mods are essential for FNV and FO4? obv i will play TOTW too
again, i will do an actual thread once i'm done building it
also for context i've played most of fallout on console i know but never on PC
>love the gunplay
>hate the story
what do i do anons?
>Fallout 4 is the best exploration shooter I've ever played.
Yeah that's the problem, it was supposed to be an RPG.
I'm currently playing it on PS4. Vanilla survival before Cyberpunk 2077.
>Bombs drops in 2077
>Cyberpunk 2077
>2077
Why is 2077 a recurring date for these types of themes?
Asides from the Fusion City Rising series, and the jetpack mod, I can't recommend a lot of mods in Fallout 4.
But if you like New Vegas, it has one of the best quest mods I have seen, it's called Autumn leaves, and it's an awesome selfcontained story in a new vault where you can go through it without firing once. The voiceacting is awesome and the story is great.
play FROST or you're a pussy
I mostly larp as a guerrilla fighter while playing.
the story is bad but it gets carried by the exploration, now the quests, they are the fucking worse, some are top tier and most are just radiant
>people hate the story
Only because it's badly written and my unpopular opinion is that the main quest should have been on a timer.
You're supposed to find your son during the middle of a war between factions and the player can build towns or do 500 radiant quests.
The timer would add urgency or else you get a bad ending.
Unique Uniques mod.
Hated how all the unique weapons that were fun to find and collect in 3 and nv were replaced with renamed legendary weapons you could find from killing a radroach.
I thought the main story was pretty entertaining. The most disappointing thing about FO4 is that the amount of proper sidequests (outside radiant bullshit) is laughably low.
everybody who says the game is shit clearly ignores the reality that there are no alternatives.
This problem can be solved by removing RNG legendary drops.
"Uniques" in vanilla are rewards or bought but yeah i expected uniques to be more like 3/nv instead at first.
>uninstalling it in the first place
Im that guy. I just remembered "The Code" in fallout 4, another quest mod with some decent work put into it. Nothing too fancy, but I still recommend it.
Far Harbor was great and has way more RPG elements present in the story than the main quest did.
Get some mods too while you’re at it and have a go. Honestly at this point, it’s just a meme to overly hate FO4, it’s a fun game with bad RPG elements.
Thanks bruhs, will check them out
The RPG issues comes from that while choices exists in side quests, they barely affect anything except which side "win" in a side quest.
Those choices don't affect other quests either.
It's either choose A or B and the lack of skill checks that aren't lockpick/hacking/find key or charisma checks.
