I use KBM on FPS, RPGs, JRPGs, and 2D platformers. Controller for fighting games and action games.

It's goddamn ports, strategy games, and indie shovelware garbage that runs on any toaster. Those are the games we get. We used to get shit like Thief and Total Annihilation and you had to have a good machine, and they made consoles look like fucking baby toys but nowadays the disparity is much closer and PC gaming is a huge fucking meme in 2020. The only reason to even own a high end machine is if it's a fucking workstation for your job or some shit because no game needs a 3090.

Unless you are playing a first person, strategy, or point and click game, controllers are either just as good or better.

Use whatever you want, but KB&M is better at almost everything other than sims. For that I have a wheel and a hotas + rudder pedals. Only game I used controller on was Outer Wilds because the KB&M controls were awful.

It means that are more people playing on PC. I've been using controllers on PC for emulation (zsnes days) and certain games for years.
You can also use the steam controller support, which is decent, for non-steam games and use it for controllers that weren't officially supported on PC like the DS4 for example.

Nothing will ever beat how thoroughly they were bamboozled by crazy Kaz and the Cell. They were sure they were getting a "supercomputer" that would stomp on PC and would talk about their 2 teraflops of performance.
