yeah i raged quit that game. ill come back to it after a while has passed. did you beat it bro?

I got to the ending, and it was a really really cool experience overall. There's some lore stuff that I kind of skimmed over, but I'll probably get back to it sometime as well.

No
I loved it.
I need to go back for a hard play-through, but there is so many game I want to play

I'm currently raging at drainage system. Goddamm cat keep getting stuck and drowning. And when I think I'm going somewhere nice, I just get a dead end.

Did so many people really beat the game in such little time? I spent loads of time in certain areas and just wandered aimlessly.

To be honest I skipped like 3-4 areas

No, but it still took about 200 deaths to beat my first playthrough. And it was worth it.

No, but I gifted it to two people and they both got filtered. Oh well. Any other games that capture a similar gameplay feel? Even just the movement system, I love feeling like I have to plot out a path around a bunch of obstacles

Yup, I tried to follow that yellow flower thing but it would eventually disappear or get stuck in a loop between 2 rooms.
Got bored because I got through 2 areas despite this and had literally no idea what I was doing, where I was going, or why I was going there.

no cause i havent played it

Worry not though, once i upgrade to a 3060ti, i'll buy a total of 29 games, and Rain World is on the list.

yes, i lost interest

Seriously the most satisfying ending ever.
Honestly I have no idea. Rain World has probably been the only platformer that I've ever played to completion. The movement does feel awesome though.
I had this feeling too for a long time and wasn't even aware that it had a real story besides the prologue. I found out about half way through my playthrough and it was a really pleasant surprise. Highly encourage you to push through it, it'll feel a lot better once there's direction.

kinda, I started playing something else stalker I think and never got back into it
is it better or worse with a controller?

It's on switch, I think, so you'll probably do fine with a controller. Might not be able to do really specific and twitchy movements though

Initially yes. Got 7 hours in and rage quit.
Came back to it months later and cleared it to completion. Easily one of my favorite all time games now, but I can entirely understand many people not liking it.

I keep wanting to fight everything that moves but the game is built on you running away like a fag

yes, i've managed to pass a single glyphed gate thing so far, every time i try to explore for real the rain gets me

I JUST WANT TO LEAVE
THAT'S ALL I WANTED
WHY

no I got bored

Finished it a few days ago after being filtered a year ago and picking it back up a few weeks ago. Absolute kino. I missed like 3 or 4 areas evidentley which i'm sorta bummed about. I actually think it's rather neat that I did all the same. It really makes it so that everyone has a really different experience. Alsom fuck the Garbage Wastes. Those leeches are the absolute shitties things in existence. Took me a few hours to figure out how to get past the telikentic giants but god that ending was mind-altering.

yeah, I got filtered
this game is unplayable without controller
and how in the hell I supposed to do double backflip while throwing spear in the middle

>Took me a few hours to figure out how to get past the telikentic giants but god that ending was mind-altering.
What. You're telling me you didn't find a certain NPC and see the best part of the game?

Nope. I can't even recall an NPC at the top of my head.

Well, that's an unfortunate development. You have a replay waiting for you then.

Is that god-damned expansion out yet ?

Nope. Greatest game ever made.

No, but have you played all the other mods instead?

kind of? The Leg -> Underhang -> Five Pebbles irritated me so hard that despite beating it it kinda killed my desire to keep playing the game. I play a few minutes here or there now, but honestly I don't know if I'll beat it. It's a shame, I was really enjoying the ecosystem aspect of the game but those linear areas just sucked.

keyboards are for accountants nigger step it up

Would you believe me if I told you that they're supposed to be a fucking nightmare and that the game completely justifies everything afterwards?

If it's anything like drought then fuck no.

Really early on, yeah. Might go back to it soonish maybe.

yes, and while I'm not one of those people who thinks games need to be fun 100% of the time (in fact forcing negative emotions is something I like it when games do), Rain World pushed it a bit far for me. I'll get around to beating the game soon, but those areas just kinda sucked.

Spoiler that shit
