Explain to someone that only ever played League

I tried out dota 2 but I couldnt get past the fucking tutorial because the wolf lady kept saying

every FUCKING time i right clicked and it pissed me off.

you can make character callouts less common or completely muted in the settings. personally i dont mind

First of all, you don't have to unlock characters in Dota. That alone makes it superior.

But regarding gameplay, the game has a ton more variety between all the heroes with tons of synergy/counter potential and the team comp/lane meta is totally freeform instead of being locked into a set sport-like layout. Itemization is much more open and utility-focused, and the game is also less snowbally since stuff doesn't scale from stats anywhere near as hard and there's a lot more CC you can win fights with even while behind.

It's overall just a lot deeper and more varied, if you really want to dig into the game with a couple friends and feel rewarded when you cooperate and pull things off nothing beats it. LoL is fun as something to relax to and melt some health bars but as far as design and competitive health goes Dota is miles above it.

There's literally a setting to disable that you donut, switch voices from "all" to "events." That mutes the move/attack lines.
