I'm new to the game and experimenting with wands is just epic.

I would recommend getting some mods, especially the gold never disappearing one and the tinker with wands anywhere. Makes a huge difference.
noob
>He likes to play the vanilla experience
Shit taste
Another example of a mod that greatly increases the enjoyment of the game
Best game since the binding of isaac.
epic
The GODDAMN FINNS have added a new enemy to the sky Work that bleeds CHAOTIC POLYMORPHINE by the goddamn gallon
You know those guys in hell that shoot blobs of lava at you, and bleed more lava when you hit them? These new guys are like that but replace all the lava with chaotic polymorphine. I wish there was a way to burn away polymorphine like there is for teleportatium.
Can you sneedpill me on the Work/Skywork?
I have yet to experience them, or parallel worlds, or anything to the left of the map (I did get the mountain, pyramid and whatever orb on the far right.
I've also only made it to The Vault once.
I'd really only worry about parallel worlds and the sky/hell work if you are doing the crazy postgame stuff for achievements.
Parallel worlds allow you to get more perks and additional sets of orbs (to a cap of 33 if you're in NG+) while the works are endgame areas that go on forever but have interesting things in them a ways in. (The moon, the dark chest, ect.)
Just focus on getting good enough to beat the game before worrying about those. Also, while the original set of orbs do permanently unlock spells to the pool, each orb significantly increases the health of the final boss. Keep that in mind during a run.
Kill yourself niggerfaggot
The game doesn't fucking deserve to be played by a subhuman like you.
I just beat the game after playing for 70 hours without looking up spoilers
what should I do next?
I 've found the pyramid on the surface and the dark areas to the right but have yet to beat any of them
The next step would be to try to get into new game+, which requires you to have 5+ orbs, then beat the final boss, and then bring the salt back up to the altar above the mountain rather than the work where it'll turn you into gold.
Or you could go around trying to get the stuff that doesn't require NG+, first. Killing the dragon in the underground jungle, opening the coral/dark chest with the key from the alchemist boss, getting the 'end of everything' spell by fixing the portal spell obtained from hand monks in the ice biome.
Or just getting all the orbs in the first world to permanently unlock their associated spells
There's a lot of stuff you can go after. The descent to the temple of the art is really just scratching the surface.
There's really four zones called "The Work":
>the room where you do the normal ending, if you go through the portal after killing the boss
>hell, reached by tunneling down through the volcanic lake below the Temple of the Art
>the "hell work", infinitely repeating below the bottom of the normal map
>the "sky work", same but on the top instead
The hell/sky Work duplicate the structure of the normal dungeons (including the normal hell), but with hell/sky themed terrain and enemies. So for example, the first layer of hell work has walls shaped like the mines (but made of hell rock), the second layer is shaped like the coal pits, and so on.
The main reason to visit sky/hell work is to buy endgame spells like greek letters, touches, divide by X, blood magic, larpa, nolla. These spawn all over the place at random in the Temple of the Art and Hiisi Base sections, as well as Magical Temple, I think. They cost $35k apiece so you usually want to clean out The Gold before heading there, and even then, you're lucky if you can afford more than 7 spells.
I've only been to the sky Work so far, on the theory that it's easier to get to the good stuff there, but my god, the combined nightmare of cloud terrain and the new sky gazers has got me seriously considering going to hell instead
Does the freezing projectile mod freeze the polymorphine?
>killed the alchemist for his spells and visited gold before reaching jungle's holy mountain
ONE
NOTHING WRONG WITH ME
timer pink ball > double spell > lightning bolt + propane tank
lol
Spark bolt timer > teleporting cast > duration down > propane tank
I'm pretty sure this is actually one of the best weapons you can build against the wand lord and hyper alchemist. Magic missile / nuke / firebolt do contact damage, which triggers the wand lord's invulnerability, before the explosion. But canister doesn't mess around, just fucking explodes, for 1300 damage (more than nuke or holy hand grenade) according to the wiki. And it's a physics object, not a projectile, so hyper alchemist's force field can't do shit about it.
I don't think it has a frozen form. And I looked around in materials.xml - there are a few reactions that can get rid of it, but they involve obscure shit like sodium, liquid fire, or burning gunpowder that only appear in ultra-rare random material flasks. Purifying powder will also clean it up, but of course it's nearly impossible to make that powder in the first place, much less get it into a flask.
I got to the gold room. Didn’t get to spend the 200k I picked up tho
Literally rolled my eyes when I saw these blackholes
Black holes are good for getting rid of projectiles/getting all projectiles in one place.
>fun wands you made in normal runs
don't forget your immunities
I have never felt more uncomfortable playing a video game than when I got to the goddamn jungle level.
And the vault after it is just ridiculous.
Temple of the Art actually feels a lot easier in comparison by the time you get there. Or at least it did before the trap crystals got added to it.
Temple is definitely where I'm most on edge. Those ghost mite fuckers put so much pressure on you to keep moving and their crystals are always swarmed with awful shit. Not to mention the retaliating ghosts.
And the goddamn cursed earth crystals are absurd. Most of the time something has already broken them open and your only path through is now cursed.
usually by the time I get to jungle it's pretty much time to delete everything I run across
the most dangerous thing there are the shithead hiisi with mines/grenades and that prick with the spear
you nuked the game's source code
in the temple I pretty much avoid the ghosts and descend as fast as possible
the whole place is dicks
>projectiles fly near enemy that turns every projectile into lighting
Gotta use brimstone explosion
Death Cross on a trigger with Nolla is fun.
is it instant when it's on a trigger spell?
That's what Nolla is for.
