As a roguelite, you're right, this game is kinda meh. The moment to moment gameplay is decent, but the lack of variety makes it a chore to play.
However, this game wasn't really designed for roguelite enthusiasts, it was made to appeal to a larger audience:

real good, did my first 32 heat run with it today. zeus attack is great for all aspects other than hestia, use a oercentage based attack for that one
