Switch will receive a complete edition but all it will contain is the full roster + SS4 Gogeta but nothing else - no crossplay.
Fun facts: Demon King Dabura, Pikkon, Super Android 13, Super Buu, Pan, Zarbon and Tarble were very close to being characters, they all made it through concept phases.
This Dewar's is making me feel a little more gossipy and I really want to give you more insight into a character I was excited for but ultimately didn't make the cut: Zarbon He had this fun mechanic where if the opponent was able to deal 45% damage to him uninterrupted he would transform into his "beast" form, gain 5% HP (bringing him back to 50% and remain in it for the rest of the match. In this form he was stronger and faster and had altered supers, and made a great anchor. I think it was tough to balance though, so never made it outside of internal testing. I very very hope that some of the characters worked on that never made it to retail become DLC at some point.

Raditz is just another base level Saiyan (think Nappa, Base Vegeta, Base Goku) honestly nothing you would't expect from him HOWEVER, his intros with other characters really hit into the lore, and deeply. References to the manga included.
Shenron is a character that handles a lot like Z Broly but far more visceral, I can only compare him to Gogeta and UI Goku but slower. Powerful neutrals, flashy energy attacks, and amazing supers.
SS4 Gogeta is the next UI Goku, but far more flashy, and is played as a rushdown character that is just in your face all the time, kicking, blasting, and punching you around the stage while having many combos that instant transmission to your opponent. He is very rushdown/in your face, also amazing and flashy supers.

The fact that SSB Gogeta has the clone faint Kamehameha kinda concerts the fact to me that we aren't getting SS4 Gogeta.
For the record despite kinda hating GT I like SS4 Gogeta's design better than Blues, that and it clashes well compared to Vegito giving the Red vs Blue dynamic.

never, Goku GT filled that and everyone is well aware that there are too many Vegetas and Gokus already. I can tell you right now that the various iterations of Gokus and Vegetas was not wanted by the teams. We almost had a God and SS3 iteration for both, but never SS4 GT. SS3 and God got consolidated to Blue and UI eventually, and Gogeta is regarded as a separate character, canon or GT

Nope. Tarble was very real at one point but eventually scrapped. ASW wants to pull in the entire fandom and all iterations (hence GT and Movie characters) but Tarble from what I understand never made it because he was 1) Too similar to Cabba and 2) both are ultimately pretty bland and boring. I do remember years ago talking about him with others on why he was being considered and it eventually boiled down to: He is Vegeta's brother and had an episode dedicated to him and that he was a fun nod to such a novel short blip in the Dragonball lore (non-canon included). Essentially he was a sort of in-house joke character, but obviously he was scrapped and will never happen so that's all it is about him.

Thirdly, the elephant, crossplay. This is immediate doubt. What would compel Bandai to suddenly do it? Between 4 modern consoles, no less. Even fuckin' Tekken 7, their most popular game, doesn't have it. So this is shaky.

For Raditz, what stands out is that he will speak to SS and Blue Goku as being mad that his brother never spoke to him again but became allies with his boss (Vegeta) His interactions with base Goku and pretty much from Z
When he speaks to SS Vegeta and Blue Vegeta he is angry at Vegeta for using him to fight his nephew and brother and ultimately dying essentially to be used as fodder while Vegeta gets to become a strong ally of Goku. Lots of salt, regret and sadness desu

Next gen. Bandai isnt stupid, they have been listening and paying attention. Crossplay for Bandai next gen is one of their major "reveals" for lack of a better word. PS4/PS5 crossplay is insanely easy to achieve, as is XB1/XBX/PC. The only hurdle is between PS and XB/PC which has been accomplished by a score of other companies. It is isnt even an issue anymore.
