Nero gets Snatch, DT, and Hold, to be more precise. DMC4 was just a fucking nightmare behind-the-scenes because Capcom was being very strict with time. Poor Itsuno, man. Guy's had more rough experiences with this franchise than good. I wish I has the pictures of him during DmC interviews because holy shit, that was depressing.

If I recall, that RE tranny did a video about DMC4's development. It's pretty much as awkward as you'd expect. If I recall, there was a lot of internal time spent trying to balance out Nero and Dante, because as you'd expect, "fans" would've lost their shit if they found out Dante wasn't playable in the new game. Or the protagonist, whatever.

DT, Quicksilver, and Doppelganger all felt like they did pretty much the exact same thing. I really have no idea what the point of doppelganger is when DT exists and quicksilver is technically different but it effectively does the same thing.

Nero is pretty lame in 4, but they really polished him in 5. He's a lot more fun to play.
Of course, they also made the best playing Dante in 5, so he still gets overshadowed.

I just don't like Nero in 4 because it just seems like too much of his gameplay revolves around charged shot, grabs, and DT super. You have exceed obviously but MAX-ACT is so much harder to get into this game unless you want to spend hundreds of hours playing the game to be able to do it off almost anything. His damage is also just fucking insane even on DMD. Charged shot + DT grab will do 30% against most bosses.
