It's 4K or not at all for me.

yes but not as bad as 4k.
look at this image and tell me if you can tell the difference, because I can't. keep in mind the 4k version runs two times worse because the screen uses more pixels

>"tries" to find a difference between 1440p and 1080p on a 1080p image.
Low-effort baits aren't funny, user.

>youtube screenshots
bros...

Performance is usually only cut by 10-20 fps when switching to 4K actually, you get more frame-rate drops if you activated RTX in 1080p.

>what is downscaling
>what is bruteforce antialiasing

1440p 144hz is not a meme.

1440p 144hz 27inch is the optimum

There's a much more important debate, OP.

using a game from 2011 as a graphical benchmark is a meme, fucking retard.

3440x1440p 144hz ultrawide masterrace

even in this shitty youtube thumbnail I can tell it's way sharper on the right. go see an eye doctor.

>what is downscaling
An empty hope that one algorithm is better than the other
>what is bruteforce antialiasing
A shit approach

you're literally playing call of duty and calling yourself "masterrace"

Use this instead bro.

>Ultrawide
How's your neck?

>playing cod in 2020

>those fallout 4 tier textures
PLEASE tell me you're on low settings.

I don't understand, my picture showed everything.

1024x768 is all you need. Fuck you

I got it for free with my Strix 3080, eat shit poorfags

it's fine, I have perfect posture thanks

screens don't do any game justice so this whole exercise is pointless other than me showcasing ultrawide.

Its a downscaled jpg. Not to mention you quite literally cant tell the difference if you dont have a screen monitor that doesnt support 4k. 4K is expensive small improvement overall but the difference is noticeable once you do set it up.

>not 1280x1024
The patrician's 5:4.

That foliage looks like shit.

It's all about pixel density. Do you want a 27 inch screen? Get 1440p. Do you want 32 and above? Get 4K. 1080 looks like a blurry mess on anything above 24".

this simply correct

1440p is optimal resolution for NEET leaches

wow the environment looks sharper. do you spend time in-game looking at the ground and the walls of buildings? no. you're going to be focusing on opponents and the visual difference there is going to be minimal. grow up

I refuse to believe this isn't bait

are you really this retarded? game being more sharp = enemies are easier to see
dumbass.

4K with 4K monitors looks sharper in motion as well. It does look genuinely better. But really not worth the money required to invest in it. Visual clutter in fast-paced games tends to have its own eye-vision blurring effect that allows devs to do tricks like dynamic resolution to maintain FPS. The only place where you see a consistent improvement with 4K and 4K monitors is ironically when theres not too much happening on the screen, like your desktop. Or watching a youtube video of someone talking.

>is more pixels a meme
yes if you use a fucking miniscule screen. Big boys need big monitors and 1440p comes to aid.

Princely opinion

>lying to yourself that anything above 480p makes a difference
kek

I can barely see a difference. If anything the 1440p imagine is slightly jaggier (like the shadows under the fence).

image*

you've never tried 4k

Wait I thought we're talking screen resolutions not texture resolutions.

>my Strix 3080
literally the only thing left to complete my build and I will probably get it around march

Yes. I play 800x600 max

>Is 1440p a meme?
No, though 16:10 aspect ratios are better. I upgraded to a 2560x1600 LCD back in 2008 from a 1280x1024 CRT and can't imagine buying a 1080p monitor in 2020.

user, it's a 1080p image.

even in that 720p screen i can see the difference.
will be even worse when you start moving

See

ouch this hurt my fucking eyes you fuck

>around march
what country

i hope you don't actually think that's a serious image

This thread reminded me that Zig Forums knows shit all about anything.
