Thoughts?

Versus XIII was never his fault anyway.

MAJOR props to Nomura for the career resurgance of a lifetime

How much was he involved with FF7R, anyway?

>Nomura gets all the credit
Kek fanboys are so funny. I never understood the notion of famboying one man in a dev team. He could miss a few key members and the game goes to shit. Like Itagaki without TN

Nomura is a cool guy. I like him.

Only the director. No one important.

Nomura is an artist for TWEWY. Also got credited as a creative producer (which could mean practically anything), but he's not the director or even a writer.

>Chrono break
>Oh shit, the timelines branches have united, and lavos and the time devourer have joined in orde to consume the universe and kill everything!
>join forces with Chrono and Serge as they team up, travelling thoruhg timelines and time itself to uncover the deepest secrets about lavos, the time devourer and a special secret profecy Schala hasnt talk about yet
>Directed by: Tetsuya Nomura

>Final Secret boss: Yozora, Sora, Riku, corrupted sephiroth and Lavos Jenova Time devourer ultimate fusion

The overall concept, story and characters come from him dude.

Yeah I really don't get this. Like smashfags thinking sakurai does everything when it's mostly bamco isn't it?

The fuck is wrong with these twitter fags that take this shit way too seriously

Nomura was credited as a producer.
Sakaguchi was also the producer of FF7. Yet everyone sucks Sakaguchi off and not Kitase which was the director.
Producer are a big deal. Therefore Nomura should be credited far more than people think.

>haha he made these garbage games and now he's making these garbage games wow what a redemption arc bro top 10 anime fights
here are my thoughts, OP you're a faggot and a nigger, as usual

obviously he doesn't do everything but he's the known name, and the one holding everything together, he's also the most involved, he definitely deserves the credit he's getting, it's just that the devs deserve credit too. He directs the devs & composers, writers etc. he designs characters and draws art for covers, promotions etc. his word goes for the most part so even if other people create something, he has to approve it or tells them to change something. the guy does a lot

they both need to be gunned down

TN is shit without oatmeal cookie, and he's shit without them.

But you say this but when a game is shit people will come up with all excuses to say he was barely involved. They hypocrisy is real.

>sucks Sakaguchi off
Nobody does.
Literally everything square makes that Nomura is involved in he gets all the credit

Because he deserve it, do you any other jp complaining about it? No? Guess it's deserved, same for Kojima, there only 2 other names people can remember when it's about a Kojima game and no one even remember their names when it's not a Kojima game anymore.

>same for Kojima,
There's clearly a drop off in his games after MGS3 which a certain someone hasn't been involved since

Japanese are cucks that's why. They get told to work overtime for free and happily do it

In Japanese business culture, you give of yourself for the team. The head of your team is the one that is recognized, but it is supposed to be instilled in you that the praise they get is also for you. It would be horrible manners for a specific designer to stand up and take ownership of something in the project and say they they were the one that made it.

>FF7R
He's one of the better actors in the crew, but the game is a huge mixed bag that suffers from him refusing to put his foot down. It isn't different enough to be its own thing, but is different enough to not work as an alternative to playing the original. Making all the new content mandatory was a really bad decision that hurts the pacing, and a lot of choices in presentation are negatives.

>KH3
Follows the tradition of "this combat system is cool but repetitive and most of the content isn't fun" set by KH2.

>TWEWYNEO
He's probably the producer again, not the director. Glad he pushed so hard for it. Just wish it was more distanced from the original.

Isn't it a bit early to mention NeoTWEWY as a success case? We know he's been lobbying for a sequel for years but we still don't know if it's gonna be a good game.

How much a producer matters varies from project to project.

That said, Sakaguchi and Nomura are both amazing producers. Gooch was more hands on in his games, but still. Nomura's flaws as a creator come out when he gets too directly involved.

To be fair, it goes both ways. He gets 90% of the shit whenever someone doesn't like his games, especially on Zig Forums.

Lol, some redemption arc

KH3 was the WORST mainline KH game. Also, while good I still thought FFVII Remake could have been better, and the whole 3 fucking part system doesn't help it out.

That depends on the creator and dev culture. Like, Suda almost never makes a *bad* game regardless of who works under him due to the way he approaches game design. Same with Kamiya.

But yeah, the notion that the creative leads are the sole determinant is stupid.
