Change Air Blade is the only 1v1 Shmup I've ever played, and with how good it is, it's honestly surprising that no company ever tried to copy it. It also works on Fightcade 2 now, so grab a friend and go a few rounds.
Twinkle Star Sprites does something kinda similar, but it's a bit more puzzle-like and is a bit more popular(As in it actually got console ports and worked on Fightcade 1). Try that one out too.
