You take a large plunge building your PC at first but that shit will last you as long as you make it last unlike consoles which are outdated in a few years. If you already got a great fucking computer, and your choice is either 500 for a console or a new GPU, the GPU is way more worth as you dont have to worry about upgrading more than your GPU. CPUs have only gotten cheaper and more powerful than anything in a console to date, so its only a matter of GPU

Guess it's time to get an Xbox. I can't wait to load up 8TB of Kontakt sound libraries alongside FL Studio, complete with a midi controller connected via type A to type B USB cable, all from the comfort of my Xbox. I'm sure it will be nothing but whimsical to me when I glide through the mystical and exciting Xbox menus using nothing but my Xbox gamepad. I can't wait to play games on one monitor, have FL Studio on another, and a chat program of my choice open on another alongside a browser containing Zig Forums, all from the comfort of my Xbox, operated exclusively with my Xbox gamepad.

I've seen the light my friend. Thank you. I'm so glad a $300 console can handle or support all of the above in 2020.

Look I get where you're coming from, but guys like us who use their PCs as creative workstations are rare. PC is prohibitively expensive for a lot of people, especially people living paycheck to paycheck.
