and while it's not their fault but damn none of the FCs I joined had any other hobbies except FFXIV. they don't play any other games or do anything outside this mmo. It's just work and FFXIV.

XIV's design has been kept pretty much the same since 3.0 though, WoW kept trying to do more bullshit every expac until it turned into a rotten beehive of grinding mechanics, which is what most normal human beings don't want from a game

Saddest thing is this is a more lively cutscene than any in-engine cutscene from XIV. What XIV does well is CG cutscenes for trailers but you'd think an Engine significantly newer than WoW would be able to pull off better cutscenes not regress.

Rule truth right now. FFXIV has amazing boss fights and the Ultimate fights are probably the best raids ever implemented on the other hand the games gear is bland as fuck everything is basically a stat stick. On the otherhand WoW has Mythic+ which is a great dungeon system compared to FFXIV's bland fucking hallway, shit boss, hallway shit boss.

I like both wow and ffviv so I say sure, ffxiv is pretty similar to wow though so if you don't like wow you probably won't like ffxiv. People pretend they are different but they really arent .
