Do you know what all goes into it? Item timings, map control, ect. I guess the best analogy is it has the mindgames of a fighting game on top of the skill needed to win gunfights. There's a reason why the best duelers will beat people with aimbots handily.

When crysis came out it was literally the best looking video game ever so people didn't really focus on the gameplay itself and instead cared more about the graphics.

I was playing BO1 (the good BO, not the shitty reboot) and I realized, quake fanboys are just stupid. It's a totally different game. It caught on because that's what people gravitated towards. The only people who think any style of game is superior or inferior to the other are fucking idiots who probably think that you can compare League of Legends to fucking Command & Conquer just because they're isometric real time strategy games, and I use that in the most liberal sense. It's a completely different mechanical style and both are valid to exist, likewise, CoD, Counter Strike, and whatever the fuck else are all valid and justified to exist, and they do not detract from nor take away the existence of retro shooters, especially now that we have

Is anyone playing Prodeus? After 26 hours (10 of these in the editor) I concluded that this game sucks.
Playing on Ultra Hard there is no challenge unless you are caught off guard by an explosive lost soul that will spawn somewhere. Or in battles against blue enemies. But once you memorize what's going to happen, there is practically no challenge left.
The game has no depth at all. It is a shame because the movement and weapons are quite fun, but when you play for 5+ hours you start to notice that something very wrong with the core gameplay.

What's this trend of zoomers tirading about genuinely good games? It's fucking annoying. Stop mining for outrage youtube content.
