Why does Nintendo hate the competitive Smash community?

it's not just nintendo
but everybody else that isn't part of this "community" as well
smash community is the trump voters of video game fanbases

They actually used to run tournaments with items (it was by region) and that ended because of exploding capsules killing people while spawning mid-attack.

Melee doesn't allow for disabling exploding item containers of any kind, user. This was not an option (and even if it were, then you've made the statement that it's okay to ban certain things for gameplay reasons which favor the better player winning. So then why not ban all items?)

actually in Melee I don't think you can? Can't remember it's been so long but I'm pretty sure containers would always spawn as long as items were turned on, and if that was the case then yeah there would always be a chance of an explosive capsule

Nigger, Wiz never got involved and threw people out because of CPU. It was all online ranting about EVO's ruleset. CPU even gave an interview about how he thought he would have lost without items. I was playing competitive Smash before Youtube was a thing.
