EVPN is actually good, I've used it for 2 years, 2017-2019, because my 3rd world country loved blocking everything and then some back then. Speeds were usually at least 1 meg a second, the software is actually not buggy and uses OpenVPN as base, lots of VPN gates. It's just good. But it's expensive because of the high speeds, I guess.
