Just why exactly were they acquired in the first place. All the other scoop-ups typically had a really cool idea and a proof of concept that made Valve want to snatch them up, but all these guys had was one walking simulator and the majority of their other experiences also in walking simulator. Everyone was worried that they were going to start fucking around because they're just entitled writers trying to wear the tattered hat of pretending to be game developers, and those concerns have really been coming to fruition this year.

It's done through both. If you're programming an AI, and you want it to lean towards a specific result once you start feeding it data, you program those tendencies into the AI.
