No, he's stupid. If you don't pilot your titan, they're fodder. This is especially bad in something like Attrition where you're just giving the enemy free points. Pilots generally aren't a threat to titans, but they're especially weak against Monarch since all of your weapons are hitscan and super smoke melts pilots like cotton candy in water.

I cannot think of a single situation where you would ever want to leave Monarch to its own devices. The whole point is to get upgrades to make Monarch unkillable and then hang out in your mech for the rest of the game.

Why though? It was basically the first titan that I picked when I started playing a year ago (only 3 hours with Ion prior) and have been maining it since, but only the past 2 weeks I came across people complaining about it.
So what's the issue? Cause aside the battery stealing, which also involves a big risk, it seems quit balanced by starting as an underdog that has to survive quit long to become viable.

I've played from the start up until Activision left, since then it has been a mess. Pretty much it's log on, do 10 mins of the new story / section sequence then wander around a new hub area, then turn the game off
