Aren't CRTs bad for your eyes?

>white
>beard
>glasses
>open mouth
why do they always look like this?

because the extra 44hz makes a difference, although I do have a brand new CRT monitor. Why am I sharing this? You just wanted to post that pic

>2020
>He uses CRT's

there's a reason we stopped, you should stop too

We stopped because they're big and bulky. Carrying the damn things can kill you

Find me a new, fully analogue 100+Hz 30'' widescreen crt for less than the cost of a car and we'll see.

Is that you in the pic OP?

1440p IPS with 1ms delay
Just use that

>there's a reason we stopped
Yeah, because stores hate carrying them when they can put five times as many lcd's on the freight truck.

We stopped building things like this as well, doesn’t mean new building are better.

But that building is an ugly piece of shit

>4:3

they kill your eyeballs.

eyestrain, just like fluorescent lights.

If that was the only thing there would be still demand

and are ugly as furniture, but since you guys never bring anyone home it doesn't matter

user, that building is special because it is unique, if we kept building it it would lose its beauty

also new buildings are more practical and some are pretty

>open mouth
Is it hard for just smile?

i've seen Timmy Joe's videos and I cant tell if is sarcasm or not.

That's true. Nothing more needs to be said.
>there's a reason we stopped
It was all because of hippies: high weight and costs, and leaded glass being impossible to recycle. CRTs are objectively superior to the garbage that are LCDs.
I remember there being slim successors to CRT that absolutely wiped the floor with LCDs, though. pic related

It doesn't matter when it all looks the same. It's cancer.

yeah i’m pretty sure they stopped building those because they were obscenely expensive even factoring the indigenous slave labor

doesn't mean they are bad tho.

>objectively superior
>a 10kg box vs 500g slab
>analog only

have fun with your eye cancer

They do it because they are self conscious about their real smile. It's like when someone who can't sing is forced to, so they do it in a jokey exaggerated voice so they don't feel embarrassed.

>boo hoo it's too heavy I can't carry it
thenhit the gym you limp-wristed faggot.
>>analog only
CRTs that accept digital input are few, but they exist. moreover, if they were still produced today, you can bet they'd accept digital signals.
Enjoy your display lag and shit black levels fag.

You can spout all bullshit you want about "crt technology" but you're still using a widdle 17 inch cuckscreen at the end of the day.

> i remember

you didnt remember shit. You saw them in a magazine just like everyone else. Feds and their like were still not in mass production nearly 10 years after the death of crt. And you know what led to the boom of lcds? LAN PARTIES you fucking dolt.

you forgot motion clarity.

>LAN PARTIES

I'm on the CRT sice. but you here are just retarded. is all about production and shipping cost.

Clicks and money. You wouldn't understand.

because it's easy views
if you make a soi face and have it as your video thumbnail, you'll get at least 5x the views you would have normally gotten
outside of youtube and other content shit? i don't know, because they're massive faggots

And ability to display any resolution within spec exactly how it was intended without blurry upscaling

>hit the gym
I already do, i dont want to carry a shitty box with no proper handles when i don't have to
I still like my functional back thank you

>they were still produced today, you can bet they'd accept digital signals
They would then have "display lag" of modern lcd's then LOL

Do you retards think the electron gun in the CRT has no latency to the screen?

>Motion clarity
>On a CRT
Do you even know how a CRT works?

>blurry upscaling
>not upscaling by integers
what is the point anyway

And have Sample & Hold turn it into a blurry mess? No way.

>zoomer onions boys discover CRT.

whoooaaa... What's next, 56k?

>zomg its so much better because it made funky noises XD

fuck off.

>Do you even know how a CRT works?
yes.

>Do you retards think the electron gun in the CRT has no latency to the screen?
it's negligible, much shorter than frame rendering time. The part where it shines though, is the very low permanence, which makes it blur-free, unlike LCDs. Supposedly they're trying to fit LCDs "rolling backlights" to emulate CRTs, but I don't see that coming to consumer LCDs anytime soon.
>>not upscaling by integers
Few TVs support that. And only recently, after decades of begging, did GPU manufacturers add integer scaling to their drivers.

>he thinks he can detect sample in hold

wow user you should be a fighter pilot with those reactions

>shit black levels
pretty sure VA btfos a crt

hmm how about crt burn-in? Screensavers actually used to be a big deal back then.
