Origins pretty solid, I can't complain. Really good story, also explores the deeper side of it (not just oh look i'm the good guy killing templars), deals with psychological issues and doubts about whether killing people for "justice" is even the right thing to do as it doesn't bring him any closure or bring his son back. Highly recommend playing this one.

Legacy of the first blade (Odyssey DLC 1) is rushed as fuck, you basically get married, have a child and lose your wife in the span of about 2 years and then fast forward like 10 years or something?

Fate of Atlantis (Odyssey DLC 2) is complete crap, the zone is pretty terrible and traversal is boring and repetitive (go to zone, weaken zone, kill boss).

Odyssey story is about 10-15 hours longer than it needs to be, you also have to clean up afterwards to get the true ending (killing all the order etc. is a bit of a waste of time).

The entirety of the ship section/management in Odyssey is pretty garbage.

Valhalla is pretty good. I think it suffers from maybe some repetition (very classic of AC) where I'm sometimes going to a zone a few hours later only to find the exact same storyline (oh this fat brit is in a castle, we need to weaken his supply lines before we can raid). I think also the Asgard storyline seems a bit forced and reminds me a bit of Odyssey. Otherwise, really good game I'd recommend as they've basically taken Origins + Odyssey and taken the best elements of each while revamping all the systems and making it more of an RPG.

Origins was the last I played and will probably be the last one I play. The world building in that was brilliant one of the best open worlds i have seen, genuinely felt alive despite being mostly barren.

Somehow the best content they could come up with was your "evil twin" joining the Order of Ancients and you need to convince them that they're wrong. Pretty shit even for AssCreed standards.

Reminder that every single Assassin's Creed game ever made was total garbage.

Solid overview. I think, as of now, the games go Valhalla as the best for me, followed closely by Origins, then Odyssey in last. I especially despise Valhalla and Odyssey's modern story sections, though. Now more than ever do I think they need to drop AC and just make historical fiction games. Assassins can still show up but that conflict between The Order / Templar vs Hidden Ones / Assassins needs to fuck off to be a background quiet conflict. Have our characters go through their own huge story but don't have the assassin bullshit be so intimately intertwined with it. It's tiring at this point, Layla was lame and Loki / Basim is also stupid as fuck, that entire twist is extremely retarded.

This game was good 10 years ago. Adding new paint to it doesn't make it a new game and I don't like the core gameplay loop enough to keep playing it for another decade
