>literally larger than Ubisoft
>people still act like they are a small studio
What gives?
Literally larger than Ubisoft
Haven't released as many games.
Ubisoft
>almost 40-year-old legacy
CDPReddit
>4 games someone actually cares out
Released a total of 4 games
/thread
The dogshit quality of their product obfuscates their number
>Don't treat their customers as little more than numbers to show investors
>Independent, not reliant on other companies
>Deliver massive DLCs that would be a full game unto themselves from any other publisher
Based slavs
Ubisoft has a shit ton of subsidiaries, I don't see how you can think they are smaller than CDPR.
>people still act like they are a small studio
???
They aren't larger than Ubisoft. They just worth more.
>What gives?
fanboyism
bandwagon
CD projekt is over 20 years old user
By September 2017, it was the largest publicly traded video game company in Poland, worth about US$2.3 billion,[7] and by May 2020, had reached a valuation of US$8.1 billion, making it the largest video game industry company in Europe ahead of Ubisoft.
By that logic Tesla is the largest automotive manufacturer
Fuckers still can't make a car right
Ubisift hires 18 045 people overall while CD Projekt Red has only 1111 employees.
How is it larger?
>no microtransactions
>no console bonuses
>no locked content
>no "online only" bullshit
>no political shilling
>no 70$ game trash
>no DRM
>based games
>games optimized to work on potatoes, still look epic
>gives you next gen versions for free if you have current gen
>updates and improves their games years after release
>huge DLC for cheap
>owns the super based GOG store
>doesnt listen to their community
>makes Zig Forums mad daily, 4fags seethe about nothing literally every day since 2015
>Largest publicly traded
>Making it largest
You really have to try thinking once in a while.
>By that logic ...
Value? Thats a pretty common metric, lad
Stock market is a scam and shouldn't be used to determine the size of a company
>>based games
They gradually became worse with each new game, the witcher 3 was mediocre at best.
>>games optimized to work on potatoes, still look epic
Absolute fucking lie, my computer can run any modern game out there, but tW3 gets sub 30 FPS.
This is like a typical comment I see on r/gaming, and these points are as dumb as ever. Seriously the whole "Even Hearts of Stone has more content than any other AAA game" is fucking ridiculous. And you've fallen for the marketing hard if you think they just care about the consumers and not the money from the game. Remember them trying to sue people for pirating Witcher 2 or when they changed the price of Witcher 3 to 14.98 so it didn't qualify for Epic's "Get 10 dollars off a 14.99 game or above"? Or just look at their insanely aggressive marketing where they do massive brand deals and put shitty celebrities and musicians in the game solely because it sells regardless of whether it'll hurt the games quality or not. Or look at them trying to back away from marketing it as an RPG and framing it more as an Action-Adventure game. CDPR is only really more pro-consumer than the typical industry scapegoats like EA and Ubisoft. The difference is heavy marketing and somehow idiots fall for it every time, thanking CDPR for giving them muh free DLCs.
>literally larger than Ubisoft
on what basis? the stock market?
Ubi has more than 20k employees
But have they been developing games for 20 years?
>They gradually became worse with each new game, the witcher 3 was mediocre at best.
this meme needs to die. Zig Forums rotted your brain into believing it
>my computer can run any modern game out there, but tW3 gets sub 30 FPS.
sorry but ">my machine" is not an argument
if your pc can't run W3 you have bigger problems
>but tW3 gets sub 30 FPS
my 8 year old computer runs TW3 maxed at 1080p. If you're using higher resolutions then either get a good PC, or really just stop falling for memes because higher resolutions are generally shit for PC games (massive performance hits for not much increase in fidelity).
Ubisoft: 18000 employees, founded 1986
Revenue: 1.7b
CDPR: 1100 employees, founded 1994
Revenue: 521.2m
Not to mention the names, amound and significance (Before) of the released titles.
Op is so fucking retarded he can't even post acceptable bait.
>larger
you forget its in a second world country so its prob still effectively half the size at best
They only recently (past decade) became huge, and they haven't proven themselves to be another corporate monster. Not saying it won't happen, but as of W3 they were still acting like a smaller studio would, we'll have to see how they act with CP77 post-release.
>This is like a typical comment I see on r/gaming, and these points are as dumb as ever. Seriously the whole "Even Hearts of Stone has more content than any other AAA game" is fucking ridiculous.
Its not
>And you've fallen for the marketing hard if you think they just care about the consumers and not the money from the game.
CdProject atleast knows that treating their consumers like consumers and not like paypigs. Spot the difference
>Remember them trying to sue people for pirating Witcher 2 or when they changed the price of Witcher 3 to 14.98 so it didn't qualify for Epic's "Get 10 dollars off a 14.99 game or above"?
Why should i care for pirates? Honest question. Its their right to sue people who steal from them change my mind. Also the prices for every single game that had this was lowered indicating that Epic did this and not CdProject you nigger
>Or just look at their insanely aggressive marketing where they do massive brand deals and put shitty celebrities and musicians in the game solely because it sells regardless of whether it'll hurt the games quality or not.
Marketing is now anti consumer lol. Zig Forumsirgnis are really the biggest idiots on this board next to Zig Forums.
>Or look at them trying to back away from marketing it as an RPG and framing it more as an Action-Adventure game.
Never happened. Like always stupid incels on Zig Forums making up shit because it was ALWAYS marketed as RPG
Pic related
>CDPR is only really more pro-consumer than the typical industry scapegoats like EA and Ubisoft
EA, Ubisoft, T2, Konami, Sony, Microsoft, Bethesda, Valve and Blizzard.
So better than 90% of the other big publisher lol
>The difference is heavy marketing and somehow idiots fall for it every time, thanking CDPR for giving them muh free DLCs.
No Day 1 DLC, No DRM, No always online, no P2W, no lootboxes in singleplayer
>no microtransactions
How many singleplayer games have microtransactions? This isn't exactly rare
>no console bonuses
Again, not many games have these, we just frequently talk about the ones that do
>no locked content
Not sure if this is just microtransactions again, but again rare for singleplayer games
>no "online only" bullshit
Most single player games don't have this. Seriously, do you play other games outside of Ubisoft?
>no political shilling
BLM?
>no 70$ game trash
Basically just Sony and Take Two right now. You could already preorder Cyberpunk before anyone raised the price of games to 70 so it wouldn't have made any sense for them to change it
>no DRM
One good thing
>based games
Debatable, Witcher 3 was a step down from previous installments to focus on the open world meme. It did so poorly and got a shit ton of praise, making more devs realize that gamers love checklist open world maps with a billion icons
>games optimized to work on potatoes, still look epic
Not really
>epic
Why
>gives you next gen versions for free if you have current gen
Cool, so have most companies
>updates and improves their games years after release
Years is an overstatement. I don't count the PS4 Pro upgrade shit
>huge DLC for cheap
Fair, but it wasn't that cheap
>owns the super based GOG store
Decent point
>doesnt listen to their community
Huh?
>makes Zig Forums mad daily, 4fags seethe about nothing literally every day since 2015
This is why TLOU2 is my favorite game and Anita Sarkeesian is my favorite critic. Don't be a retard.
>this meme needs to die. Zig Forums rotted your brain into believing it
tW2 was simpler than tW1, and tW3 was even simpler than tW2, cyberpunk is shaping up to be even simpler than that.
>sorry but ">my machine" is not an argument
>if your pc can't run W3 you have bigger problems
>my 8 year old computer runs TW3 maxed at 1080p
How do you explain ONLY tW3 running sub 30FPS on my computer?
That user claimed that tW3 is "optimized to work on potatoes", which it's obviously fucking not, tW3 is KNOWN for it's insane graphics.
You are LITERALLY lying on an anonymous image board to try to save face for for a multi billion dollar company that doesn't give a shit about you.
Cyberpunk is going to fucking suck and there is ZERO amount of lying on CDP's behalf that will change that fact.
