No, the story is decent in the beginning but it quickly falls apart. Mechanics are so shallow I wouldn't even call this a puzzle game.

It's a breath of fresh air, most of the fun comes from catching the funny food creatures that constantly yells out their name like pokemons do
There's many ways of catching a snax which on its own creates funny situations

Depends what kind of games you like. If you don't normally like cutsey games then you probably won't like it. But if you enjoy seeing the soul and creativity a small indie team puts into a game then you will. The gameplay is also fun enough, but the main draw for me is the world and the characters.
