The game is old and they are out of ideas for story and servants. At this point they've explored most of the character design space so theres not much they can do to make new servants exciting. The base design of battles makes things like having true tanks and healers not viable so they just have buffers and attackers. Break bars also made a bunch of play styles not very useful so its all just become NP spam over and over with just ways to enable that. Also breaking the chapters into even smaller pieces to drag the story out which has already played out is making fatigue set in. Also fuck them for getting rid of the Halloween event.
