Ceaseless bull shit

Lost izalith and demon ruins is probably the worst area in dark souls

That's because the developers never finished it.

That’s not seethes castle

it was released 9 years and 2 consoles ago and faggots still whine about it like it's ever going to change. why?

This is why Demon's Souls was better, at least that game was consistent .

if the game ended at anor londo it would have been ok

2-2 exists.

that's one section of one area. Even valley of defilement was better than blighttown. Not saying DeS was perfect, but at least it was more consistent, all the bosses were pretty tight and the world building in this game is a 100x better.

blighttown is a good area and you can go through lost izalith very quickly. it's not even that bad aside from the initial dragon ass lava land and the boss.

bighttown was good, it's just less interesting than defilement

wrong.
it would be tomb of giants

blighttown was kino
i unironically liked it, the only bad thing there are those motherfuckers with toxic darts

it's meh, the platforming shit is annoying because you slide off some shit and the annoying flies are a pain.

agree 100% it's painful to finish das1 because of the shit areas

i lose all motivation after Anor Londo because of how dreadful the rest of the game is. It all feels so rushed and incomplete like they just wanted to get it out of the way

you kill flies in 1 hit so they dont matter at all and platforming is cool
tomb of giants is 20 times worse than blighttown and lost izalith combined

Centipede demon should have been a reoccurring threat that would emerge from the magma and attack you briefly, then fuck off after you've done X amount of damage to it. Skilled players, overleveled players, or NG+ guys could kill it upon first encounter by dealing enough damage and keeping it stunned to kill it in the first or second encounter, but it would be a cunt of a roving boss for the first timers.

Roving bosses are something I thought was missing from Dark Souls and the dev notes about how the capra demon was supposed to wander the lower undead burg confirmed it for me. They couldn't get that working right or some shit so they just locked him in an alley with some dogs and called it a day.

I hate the bridge dragon spam in DeS (and DeS does it the worst out of all of them) but the game doesn't outstay its welcome at least. I get bored of DaS after Anor Londo

>plebs that did tomb before getting the sunlight maggot getting filtered

hitting the flies is annoying as fuck ever as a casting build because your tracking is ass

there's plenty of stupid shit in DeS but at least the levels stay consistent. Bloodborne is honestly the best game From have made so far in my opinion, it's just Demon's Souls but better.

They should have put the Archives before Anor Londo and had the player fight Nito, Seethe, The Exactly Four Kings, and something other than the Bed of Chaos before ever reaching O&S. Gwyn should have been deep down a spiral staircase under the Chamber of the Princess where you'd find the Kiln of the First Flame. Ditch the Izalith itself and the Demon Ruins all together for a tighter progression of areas and bosses. Game ends directly beneath Anor Londo.

dark souls 2 did this and it blew hard

I liked the Tomb of the Giants. Gave me that sense of going into the belly of the beast. Just going down deeper and deeper into progressively darker spaces full of spooky bullshit. Izalith should have felt like that x5. I genuinely think they should have ditched the Izalith for the main game and put enough work into the area to do a second expansion after Artorias, which should have been in the game to begin with.

If the game had launched with Oolicile in it but left the Izalith out to be turned into its own big expansion that would have been much better.

I really didn't mind either of those areas, the only gripe I have with DaS levels is the skull lantern TOTG area, but even that I can appreciate as a change of pace. Although putting Vamos down there too without a better hint to his presence is bigger. Idk why everyone memes on LI/DR. Lost Izalith sucked balls pre-patch, but is totally fine after, and Demon Ruins is fine for what it is.

I dropped DS2 right after the Royal Rat Authority because I just couldn't see myself ever enjoying it. Every time I try and re-approach it I either stop at the Rats or Dragon Rider because the environment is utterly uncompelling and even just moving and attacking feels like garbage. I don't discount the game entirely because some of my friends love the second entry and the later areas they've shown me look much better (part of SOTFS, I think), but I just can't get into it the way that I soaked up DaS1's map. I couldn't get enough of exploring it every Souls entry I've played since has fallen short in my eyes.

I usually put down DaS III right as I arrive in Irithyll because the swamp followed by Carthus is such a boring slog that I just don't feel compelled to go into it. I've yet to even see the Pontiff, but, again, that isn't the game's fault. I want another big, interconnected 3D space to explore at my own pace like DaS gave me.

Personally I like DeS more, levels feel more diverse. Bloodborne felt rushed to me.

maybe try not being a faggot

bit half assed but kino location and great lore.

About the same here.
>DaS - 20+ completions, explored and memorized every square inch of the map, have fun with every weapon that isn't shit, ~400 hours
>DaS2 - 2 completions, explored most of the map but most of it's forgettable, only really use 4 or 5 weapons total, ~40 hours
>DaS3 - 1 completion, don't recall or feel comfortable on any of the map, none of the weapons were great or comfortable to use ~20 hours

TotG is awesome exactly because of reasons.

never had any problems with it
maybe because i always use huge weapons with long range

its sad because from the outside it looks like one of the coolest areas to explore

Pros:
>Chaos Covenant shortcut
>Lore (Kirk, The daughters of chaos, Ceaseless, Centipede demon, The remains of the dragons, etc.)
>The areas are designed as a boss rush, which would've been cool if the bosses were good
>The Siegmeyer and Solaire quests have cool parts here
>Ceaseless Skip is possible

Cons:
>The bosses suck
>Miniboss Spam
>The dragon asses are not fun to fight
>The lava field burns your eyes out
>Bed of chaos is the worst fight in the series

If they ever do a full remake of DS1 this is what I want them to do for these zones:
>1. Give Demon Fire Sage new moves, or some kind of environmental hazard to make the fight stand out from the other 2 asylum demons
>2. Make the Centipede Demon room have more connections to the middle of the room so you don't have to fight atbthe entrance.
>3. Change the Bed of Chaos fight a lot. It just sucks, make a new idea for that fight.
>4. Make new demon enemies to break up the taurus, capra, and dragon ass spam. Once you pass the lava field the enemies are fine.

DS3 Demon Ruins is even worse than DS1 Demon Ruins, by a lot. Plus the fact that its surrounded by more terrible areas like Carthus, Smouldering Lake, and lmao3swamps makes it even more unpalatable.
