Why the fuck do people say wrong side of the tracks in GTA san andreas is extremely difficulty? I got it on my second try and I'm shit at the game.

its extremely easy, I also have no clue why people get upset at this mission.

It was largely due to Smoke missing shots or not even shooting at times. Of course, you realize you need to be a certain distance from the train for it to trigger him.

Because people normally stick too close to the train, causing BS to not land a single shot

all you had to do was follow the damn train CJ

same. that fucking model plane mission or whatever can suck my fucking dick though.

the key to beating this mission is to realize there is a certain distance that smoke will shoot them accurately from. if you dont realize this, you will fail every time. its not immediately obvious that he is missing because you arent driving at the right spot. a lot of people probably thought he was missing because they werent close enough or far up enough, when the real issue is, they werent far away enough

People don’t say that.

we*

It's literally a meme from a Dunkey video
People parroting it have never played the game

Its easier on ps2

It's just generally bullshit. No enemy in the game is that bullet spongey when the player is shooting at them, and there is zero feedback as to why your approach isn't working. It's basically down to whether you correctly guess the magic thing the dev wanted you to do.

A couple extra voice lines would have gone a long way- CJ mocking Smoke for his shit aim, and smoke asking you to move closer or further.

I have no idea, its extremely obvious that you have to drive at a certain distance so that Smoke can shoot at them instead of at the train because the TRAIN IS RIGHT INFRONT OF HIS FUCKING FACE.

>No enemy in the game is that bullet spongey when the player is shooting at them
kek

the only hard missions are zeros, and they aint hard just annoying.

why is the accuracy of your friends so bad in this game anyway. in the drive by mission, they also fucking suck at hitting the targets. i can only beat it by running the ballas over instead of letting the others shoot them

they are black

>It's basically down to whether you correctly guess the magic thing the dev wanted you to do.
you mean driving at a stable speed next to the train at a certain distance so that smoke can shoot them?

they have damage values on their shots. They land all their shots but most bullets do nothing.

Smoke's accuracy is actually good, it's just the game is finicky about keeping up with the train's speed. Plus it's easy if you can just go on top of the train.

just do the speedrun strats and skip this shit mission.

The only reason why people think they're hard, is because they don't think to switch from using mouse+keyboard to control the helicopters and planes to only using the keyboard. Even then they're not even annoying if you're using a controller.

ive replayed GTA SA like 10 times since the release and have probably spent a few thousand hours in SAMP and i still hate them. theyre simply not fun

The mission gives you a free mp5 it's not THAT bad

Because Smoke is a fat nigger who can't kill. The best way to do this mission is to jump on the train yourself at the beginning with that bridge.

Maybe I'm misremembering? There might be some exceptions but I seem to recall being able to kill any mook with a single headshot, and spraying a full clip at anyone would be enough to kill them.

That "certain distance" is a magic number though, it isn't based on logic or on the actual animations that play.

>That "certain distance" is a magic number though
if you have no spatial awareness then sure

>everyone claims this is really fucking hard
>it actually isnt, win first try

not calling just you out or anything, but what the fuck do people find so hard about controlling planes on a keyboard? it takes literally the same amount of articulation as a controller and is just as easy.

i 100% all the games with MKB and pic related for flight bindings.

because you played the remake not the original

I drive at a distance where Smoke should easily be able to hit them. The bullets shouldn't be hitting the train or anything like that. But because it's not exactly the distance the programmer dictated, it doesn't work. It's just fucking lazy and not fun. Literally a couple extra lines would have solved the problem.
>SMOKE: Get us closer, CJ!
>SMOKE: Move away from 'em, CJ, I need a better angle!
>CJ: You can't aim for shit, Smoke!
There's also no decent reason that you can't follow the train past the magic barrier. They should have disabled the barrier for this mission or come up with a better reason for the chase to have a time limit.

I love this game, I have very fond memories of it, but there's also a ton of lazy janky half-assed half-functional bullshit in it.

I'm just gonna leave this

Because you retards dont know that the game since the original 1.0 PS2 release has been modified multiple times and made easier and easier with each re-release
The original missions the AI is braindead and the time limits are tight, specially for example the zero missions.

I thought it was just a joke because Big Smoke is funny. Did people actually have a problem with this mission? Just upgrade your motorcycle skill, Jesus Christ.

I can do the toy plane missions.
I can do the helicopter missions.
I can not for the life of me, finish the fly school.

for some reason it just feels a lot more intuitive on a controller for me
