it has the most content, the hit tracking is way more difficult to dodge, you can level up the fastest, it has a lot of pluses honestly, it makes me wish they would shit out more souls games that werent necessarily perfectly crafted but just so i had dungeons to crawl, id love if they just did one dark souls a year like cod.

Nah, DS1 is easily the best, but I hhave started to appreciate DS2 a lot more, I actually think it's on par with DS3. DS3 is so action oriented that the enviromental design of DS2 starts to suddenly seems good.
To me DS is not only about thhe combat, it's the level design, exploration... If they just made a full on fucking metroidvania Dark Soul I would suck so many dicks willingly.

DS2 is the only one you will replay several times. It has so much secrets and content. Plays exactly like the others. The lore makes sense ingame, and the variations to every run feels great. Its a big odyssey through a fantasy world, and love it for it.

OP wasn't saying DS2 is the best one, it's just the one you'd want if you had to play only one of them forever. And he's absolutely right because it has the best pvp by far even with soul memory weighing it down. Dark Souls 1 is just a who can pivot backstab with a chaos bandit knife fastest competition and Dark Souls 3 pvp is about as fun as cock and ball torture.

I hate literally all weapon animations and the hideous stamina cost of doing anything that's fun and powerful, but it's true that 2 is the only one where I feel like playing through the PvE more than once. Fuck the DLCs for basically being off limits for elemental damage builds, though.

I have gotten too much fun out DS1 challenge runs and they just aren't interesting or possible in the other DS games due to their structure.
And DS3 has by far the better pvp.
To me it's just, DS pvp isn't even very good? So fuck that no matter the game, it's fun sometimes if theres an interesting scenario.
