Why are investorfags ruining retro vidya?
Just stick to crypto or the stock market.
Why are investorfags ruining retro vidya?
People have been able to emulate that game since the '90s OP.
these richfags got bored during the quarantine. Sports cards are super expensive right now as well after being irrelevant for like 20 years
Why? You can play it through emulation. Also why do you act like investing is gate kept? If you're not investing in something, then you're actually a retard.
>ruining
>retro
>vidya
time makes fools of us all
Everything has jumped in price. Gamecube games, comic books. Everything.
they literally only buy it so they can have the joy of opening up something that was kept in perfect condition for 30 years (or never opening it at all). this game is still very much affordable second hand.
If you want to play a retro game you can use an emulator.
If you want to buy an original physical cartridge is becauae you petceive it as having some special attributes worth investing into. Just like the investors you are critizicing
even megadrive games are going up in price
tho i have most of the ones i want, i'll probably stick to buying new indie md games for a while
Just bought a SMB3 rom for free.99
how did I do?
pokemon cards have jumped like crazy
i am sick of you faggots telling me to play on a shitty emulator. till gen 4 emulators work fine but every emulator after gen 5 has flaws. you can pretend as much as you want but it is not the same. if you buy games and don't play them consider the rope. it's a piece of useless junk filling your room and normal people think youre weird. have some self awareness.
>125 dollar shipping for a trading card
so just buy the original hardware and a used copy of the game, there are still plenty of them floating around that collectors won't touch because they're not in a sealed box.
normies inflating the prices of retro goods is the biggest cancer popularity brought to the hobby
If only flashcarts and ODEs existed so the price of games was literally meaningless.
>Nigger doesn't know about diversification of investment portfolio
pokemon cards are so expensive now because there is like a group of 20 youtubers buying them and selling them then their fanbase is raising the prices of cards so the tubers can't buy the cards so right now a lot of the pokemon card prices are going to be widely inaccurate and just plain wrong because of internet trolls.
It's going to be funny seeing compulsive gamblers break down when all those prices tank and the retards blowing money on this shit get bored.
I guess the whole PSA scam keeps the system running though, I never thought people would be fucking retarded enough to buy into that shit.
they've been at it for years, only a retard buys actual cartridges these days instead of either emulating or if they must run on original hardware like a fucking autist like me get a flashcart.
>old games get scarcer and more expensive
>industry absolutely allergy to preservation because it might stop 9 sales of some remake they might maybe do sometime in the next 5 decades
>games going the way of digital only with excessive DRM and online functionality, within our lifetime certain games will just be 100% lost to time and completely unplayable in any means
it should really be a red flag when pokemon youtube 'investors' start advertising their ebay auctions.
Literally just buy a modded console and play off flash carts/ burned discs. That's what all the non retarded kids did back in the day anyways.
I got my copy for less than $20. Imagine paying that much money for anything.
dreamcast was kino. You could play burned discs without even modding the console at all.
Stop whining about being poor.
>some popular faggot on youtube plays game
>game is now expensive
>>industry absolutely allergy to preservation
You're in a thread about a Nintendo game that's been on all of their systems except the N64, Gamecube and DS.
>shit modern games will be lost forever
And that's a good thing
>old games get scarcer and more expensive
Old cartridges will eventually have the battery die and old discs will eventually get disc rot and become unplayable, that's why emulation is so important for preservation. Anyone who actually cares enough to play old games instead of just shitposting can do so by doing a few hours of research to find and test out emulators that will play the games they want perfectly.
>industry absolutely allergy to preservation
Again emulation. Even big companies use them.
>games going the way of digital only with excessive DRM and online functionality, within our lifetime certain games will just be 100% lost to time and completely unplayable
The games this mostly affects are game's as a service games that are giant time and money sinks. Any online only game worth a damn will have a dedicated enough group that will try to preserve it with private servers.
>investorfags ruining retro vidya
Yes now you can't buy a graded and slabbed video game to put on your mantle and do nothing with
That obscene cost is probably to cover the shipping insurance on the package.
This has no effect on you unless you really wanted a mint, sealed Mario 3. You can buy a Mario 3 cart for $10 or less.
I sold that same Charizard but only for $320. It's the "shadowless" part that makes those extremely valuable. They're very scarce, the absolute first version of the first Pokemon cards ever made.
